These guys are easily the best around. Easily. They're honest and can actually explain what the issue was and how they fixed it.
I first took my BMW here because it was leaking oil and no other shop could find the source. They found it and fixed it right away. My ABS module then went out and I thought I'd have to take it to the dealership to at least have it programmed. They fixed it AND programmed it.
If you have a foreign car, just take it here. There's no reason to go anywhere else.

I have an import vehicle that I've needed some work on and I am new to the area. I contacted several places and they all said they couldn't really assist me and referred me to River West Motor Werks. I am glad that they did as my vehicle was taken care of. My vehicle has quite a few miles on it and needed some TLC that I haven't given it since I moved here, and they took care of it. They even game me the recommendations for fixes that will likely be coming up but didn't need to be repaired immediately, as I had thought. Very knowledgeable and friendly service and the prices were reasonable for that type of vehicle. I have found my place to take my vehicle going forward. Call ahead as they are one busy location!! If I could give more stars I would, lol.I have an imported JDM that was only ever made and sold in Japan, so finding parts is impossible. I've been on the hunt for some basic parts for well over 4 months now. Multiple shops couldn't help me.I should have just come to River West Motor Works first!!They did a full inspection in just under an hour, and after not even 10 minutes of searching they found the parts I needed! They are a life saver. I won't be bringing my car anywhere else but here from now on. Very friendly and informative people. I was expecting the price to be high due to being an import place, but it was actually decently affordable! Very knowledgeable staff, one of the guys working on my pride and joy also had a JDM vehicle and knew a ton about them.Love this place!

These guys and especially the owner York are fantastic to work with. I have had them do extensive work on my 1991 BMW M5, 2011 BMW 335xi, 2003 Audi TT, and 2020 Ford Shelby GT350. They have done everything from pulling and reinstalling rebuilt engines, differentials, chasing electrical gremlins, repairs engine faults that other dealers wanted thousands to do. Very trustworthy and honest in everything they do. Can highly recommend for any service work you need done!

I'll never take my vintage buses or beetle s anywhere else. IMHO I'm pretty apt with a set of wrenches and it just got too cold to be doing clutch jobs on the side of the road in January. They were far friendlier and knowledgeable than I expected and prices were a real value. New raving fan and lifetime customer!

I've been doing business with Riverwest and York for 20+ years. They've worked on a Kia Soul, a Subaru Loyale, a Subaru Outback, and a Toyota Rav 4 I've had. They're frank and honest. They don't guess and they replace only what's necessary. They'll tell you if they see obvious safety problems and can give a good overall assessment of your vehicle's condition, if repairs are worth it or not. They are willing to work on older vehicles local dealers will give you "attitude" on. They're not flashy but they get the job done right!Services: Auto exhaust system repair

York and Dakota are absolutely amazing when it comes to customer service! I had my truck in for a check engine light and they narrowed it down to an oil pressure sensor. They replaced the sensor along with the harness and good as new. When I had a problem with it a few weeks later they went back and took a look at their work, rechecked it and ended up fixing the electrical issue that caused the problem after being in the shop once. Gave me a loaner vehicle while it was in the shop so that it wasn’t too much of a burden not having a vehicle. Communication was outstanding and they were extremely determined to make my truck working properly again. All the people who work here are no BS. Honest and professional. Absolutely would recommend anyone looking to get any work done on their vehicle to give them a call.Services: Auto maintenance
