We were up in Pickerel for a snowmobile trip and stopped at the Northwoods Inn for breakfast. The meal was great and so was the service. While chatting with Kelly, one of the owners, we told her it was our first trip to the area to snowmobile. She sent out her husband, Perry, who wrote down a suggested route for our day’s ride and invited us to come back again and he’d come up with another one. The route he gave us was awesome and we had a super day. We ended up eating breakfast there for two days and came back for Prime Rib on Saturday night! The food was consistently excellent (thanks, Perry), as was the service. We’ll be back this summer to do some side-by-siding and are looking forward to going back. The outdoor patio area with the fireplace looks like it would be great fun in the warmer weather. We came in as new customers and left on Saturday night feeling like we’d made some new friends. Thanks, Perry and Kelly!

Came here for lunch on a Saturday. First time here and stopped as there were a lot of good reviews. Enjoyed the rustic "up north" feel and the food was very good. I had the Mushroom Swiss Burger and it was perfect and came with fries and good pickles. The food came out super fast as well. Would absolutely recommend.

This place is a hidden Gem. We had a group of us that were looking for a hearty Prime Rib. This place stuck it perfect on the Prime Rib. Each order was done perfectly. The drinks were phenomenal and the owners made sure we were satisfied. The breakfasts are great also.

This place was awesome. We came in with a group and the owners went above and beyond to make sure we were all good. Great people,very clean and the food was awesome! Best place in the area. They also have music in the summer with a very cool looking outside area. So winter or summer that is the place to go. We went twice on our weekend trip.

Very nice family run business, with good food. Atmosphere was cozy and the food was very good. Very good menu items to choose from. Have eaten there a few times now and the service and food is excellent.

Some buddies and I ate here while riding motorcycle in the area recently. 2 of us had the pulled pork sandwich and the other 2 had the brisket. All the meals were very good and the staff was friendly and service was fast. I'll eat here again when in the area.

We have a cabin in Pickerel, so we've been going here for years. We come every time we're at the cabin. The food is good, the owners are very nice, and they're always trying new things on the specials. If you're looking for a high class restaurant, this is not the place (nor is any other place within a fairly large radius), but if you're looking for tasty food and a friendly atmosphere, then this is your place.

Friends recommendation...really? Nice looking, updated restaurant next to a Shell gas station. Food...barely ok. Friday fish fry...prices okay, flavor not. Food served luke warm. The server...inexperienced and would guess first job. No silverware for everyone...had to snatch some off the other table. Never offered water. Drink order arrived incorrectly made. Checks were mixed up and added wrong. When complaint made about the serving size of dessert one snapped, 'This isn't my station' and walked away, the real waitress admitted it was usually served with ice cream but it wasnt given as it was ordered 'to go' .. Asked for an adjustment in price which she said she would do but never gave us a check so we knew how much it was, just gave us change for the bill given. Who knows? Never again will we dine here.
