Very nice rooms and very helpful staff. Full desk for easy work from the room and the shower is amazing with double shower heads.
The LL has the conference rooms and breakfast area.

I do not usually stay at Holiday Inns. I may have to reconsider the brand after staying here.

I was here for work. I first want to give the pros of this place. This place was very clean and the rooms also smelt good. It didn’t smell like your typical restaurant. They also had a bar inside the lobby which had friendly staff. The front desk/room service was also very nice.
There were two restaurants within walking distance which were very good. I really liked the Thunder Bay Grille. I had the bison burger and fries, which were very good. I also got the French onion soup that was also good. I went to the machine shed and they also had very good food.
The room I loved the bathroom and for the most part the sleeping area. I did not like the night stands as they had a glass pane on them. BE VERY CAREFUL WHAT YOU PUT ON IT. I had my Yeti water bottle on it and when I woke up I went to drink from it. While going to grab it, it tipped over and struck the glass apparently just right for it to break. I cleaned it up and told the front desk about it.
This piece costed $150 towards my card. I get that things need to be paid and I guess I shouldn’t have my water bottle on this, but I still can’t understand why they would put glass on a night stand? Especially because I’m sure I’m not the only person to bring drinks and place them on this stand. Maybe I’m just salty on the price of the glass, but other than that I did have a good visit.
Rooms: The rooms were very spacious and clean. The bathroom was also very nice as it had two shower heads on the showers and the shampoo and conditioner were Dove brand.
Downside there is no microwaves in the room, so be careful about left overs as you can’t rewarm them up. ALSO THERE IS GLASS ON THE NIGHT STAND UNDER THE LAMPS. Read my main post and you’ll see the issue I ran into.
Food & drinks: Loved Thunder Bay grille because it had great food.

Wonderful hotel -- love the Frank Lloyd Wright influence. Very well maintained and clean (although there was a small blood stain on the pillow when we got into our room). The pool and hot tub are big for a hotel (was able to swim laps) and the fitness center is well equipped and roomy. No free breakfast but the hotel is in walking distance from a couple restaurants (including The Machine Shed, which is delicious). Would definitely stay here again.
Rooms: Big rooms, big bathrooms
Walkability: No walking trails or sidewalks but walkable to a couple restaurants
Noteworthy details: Great pool and fitness center
Beautiful lobby and design

My cowrokers and i stayed here for a week and the service was fantastic. House keeping so polite and thorough, front desk and management pleasant and the breakfast by far was better than any other place we’ve stayed. The breakfast lady, Lucy is a phenomenal server. She was quick and attentive to all our needs and makes one of the best omelettes ive had in years.

This is like a second home. I've stayed here for years. I've recommended it to so many people. Many of which have stayed. I've yet to hear about anything being a problem. Any issues I've ever encountered they move to immediately resolve the issue and make it right. I applaud their efforts and appreciate their enthusiasm they express when making it right. Recently, I had an emergency situation that I needed some sanctuary from and they were not only happy to have me as a guest but also showed compassion to my situation. It was so deeply appreciated and I am forever grateful for all their kindness. Having a hotel make you feel like you are supposed to be here, like where have you been we've been looking forward to seeing you, it's exemplary service. Best pool room temperature and actual pool water temperature. The hot tub is back open. Jackie is at it tending bar and always has a smile on her face and has a have seat, glad you are here, welcome for you attitude everyday she's here. Thunderbay has a refreshed menu and they've done such a good job revamping it that I've eaten there 3 times during my stay. Still run room service to the hotel too. If you're wondering if it's something for a couple just to have a night away even in your home town, yes, take advantage of Jackie's upbeat attitude as she happily walks around and offers a refresher even on a beer bottle alone. Makes sitting by the fireplace inviting and stretching out on the couches second nature and have some us time. For families? Absolutely. It is such a simple floorplan but they know their guests and no one seems to be on top of each other even when it's super busy. Business? This is the spot. Did I also mention the 24 fitness center or breakfast in the lower level? Hope this helps you Google review reader. Just wanted to give answers to questions I have about hotels. Oh, lastly, for a small fee (other hotels charge significantly more around the country), you can bring your dog!

I think our stay would be 4.5 stars, but that's not an option so went with 4. We came here to get away from Illinois and let the kiddos swim. Overall we really enjoyed the hotel and the kids loved the big pool.
Check in was easy and we had a suite which was really a nice large room with a fireplace. It worked for us on a short get away and we will come up here again when we go to the Milwaukee zoo or just want a short break from crappy Illinois restrictions.
My only complaint is that this hotel along with many others need a hot breakfast. Covid aside grabbing a bagged muffin or pop tart doesn't cut it for us.

Facility was very clean. Christian at the front desk checked me in twice. Both times he was very welcoming, cordial, and informative. Will most certainly stay here again if in the area.
