I highly recommend Skipper buds! Purchased a boat through them and couldn't be happier. Had the service department install a new sound system. They did a great job and it sounds amazing. They hit my expectations and beyond. Great communication and fun.

Skipperbuds has a very good fiberglass person. My boat had a few dents and chips from over the years and they did a great job fixing up the finish, polishing, and waxing the boat. I received many compliments on how good the boat looked. I will say the service department is very busy at the opening and closing of each season, so your best bet is to go there in-person and speak with them. They have had some issues in the past with staffing, but recent work I have had done has been prompt and well done.

Honestly very frustrated. Was looking for an estimate on a new bow mount trolling motor to replace the one I have. Called multiple times and brought the boat in. Everytime I called i was told someone will call me right back. Never once received a phone call back. Ended up calling Spellman's and they gave me an immediate estimate and answered all of my questions. I would be hard pressed to ever bring the boat I bought from Skipper Bud's back to Skipper bud's.

I bought a brand new Four Winns in early 2022 and encountered some problems. The service department NEVER returned my calls. I finally called the sales manager who asked what the issue was. When I informed her that I had to pay for what should have been warranty repairs I never heard back. Someone from Skipper Buds e-mailed me and said I would be receiving a satisfaction survey, which I did. I gave a very negative review which would not submit. I responded to the e-mail and informed them of the failed submission and the negative review. I have never heard from them since. They are very unprofessional and I will never do business with them again, nor should anyone else. Terrible experience.

Incompetent and terrible service. Wouldn't do bussiness with any skipper buds location again. This was the worst purchasing experience I have ever been a part of I don't know how they can sleep at night treating customers like garbage and doing sub par work and offering little to no information on the work done on boats that people invest alot of money into.

Adam was our mechanic & cannot say enough good things about him. He took us through all the parts that were bad or shot, showed us the damage & what needed to be replaced & explained everything very well. When we picked it up we took it out & had an issue getting it started, Adam again came out to the rescue got it started & then took it out with us to show us how well it was running. Outstanding guy, can tell he is excellent at what he does. We are very impressed with how much he did for us, we would trust him again & recommend him to anyone! Thank you again Adam you did a great job! You deserve a raise ????

This place is absolutely a rip off! Poor customer service. They charge double what they should and think they can get away with it. I will never take my boat there again and you should not either. There is not enough time for me to tell you how shady this place is.Stay away from Oshkosh skipperbuds if you want decent service or not to be grossly overcharged for minimal service.

I did not have a very good experience with this dealership. The technician that performed work on the boat, was friendly, knowledgeable and skilled. This is the closest Glastron Dealership to my location which is over an hour driving one way (75 miles). We had a boat in for repairs for an accident, we were struck by another boat (a PWC traveling at high speed) while in a no wake zone. I previewed the work in a shop in the winter, which looked OK with the lighting in the shopWhen I retrieved the boat in the spring, in natural outside lighting there were scratches in the freshly painted ski tower that were from reassembly. While it's vanity (not structural concerns), that should in my opinion have been detected and remedied as the boat was in shop for >5 months and cost of repairs nearly $15K.The other issue is oily boot prints on the nonskid pads that are newly installed on the swim platform as part of the accident. These boot prints are from someone walking across asphalt at the dealership and then entering the boat. (these oily boot footprints do not rub off). I would expect higher care from the dealership in this repair.I did contact this dealership regarding these observations. There was agreement (with an unwelcome/unprofessional snarky response) to bring the boat in and have it addressed at no cost, which is appreciated.Trip to drop off, wait 'x' period of time for resolution, and pick up with over 4 hours of driving invested (loss wages, gas, etc ) with a situation that should not have happened is not in line with my expectations. I went out of my way to have work performed at a Glastron dealership, this dealership did not go out of their way to remedy a situation their team caused on newly installed materials. I do hope the team at this dealership takes the time to read this response and get in touch with me - I'd welcome the opportunity to allow them to "do the right thing, and go that extra mile to earn a reputation"

Back in May 2020, I went to Skipperbud's in hopes of purchasing a boat. Despite reading a few negative reviews and hearing about some previous poor experiences, I did decide to give them a chance. As a person with little background knowledge about boats, I would have hoped that Skipperbud's would have provided me with all of the information about our purchased boat. Throughout the summer, my boyfriend and I experienced many issues with our boat which has now left us with over $5000 in repairs. These repairs total to approximately half of the purchase price. Skipperbud's was aware of these issues, found a quick fix, and moved forward with the sale knowing that these issues would arise later on. Months later, we are now responsible for the thousands in repairs. I feel as though Skipperbud's withheld some very crucial information about the condition of our boat. They were more concerned about getting the boat out the door.I also experienced complications with the financing department at Skipperbud's Oshkosh. Skipperbud's inaccurately completed our finance paperwork. They claim on their website that their financial and sales departments are a group of “professional, knowledgeable staff with many years of new, used and brokerage experience”. However, it took months of back and forth emails and phone calls to finally get the financing figured out. I trusted Skipperbud's with all of my personal information. It should be their duty to have an experienced financial department who can accurately complete paperwork.Since the time I purchased our boat, there have been so many red flags. At first, the staff seemed very knowledgeable and cooperative. However, when presented with all of the information I just shared, they definitely showed their true colors. They are “not at fault” for what happened to our boat and will not be helping with the repairs.Thank you for taking the time to read this review!

I was in Oshkosh for a week of boating, as I unloaded my boat it would not start at the boat landing. I called several boat marinas on the water and no one could help me. I remembered Skipper buds near hwy 41. I called them about 200 PM and told them the problem. They said they would send out a technician. They sent Adam and replaced the ignition switch and had me ready to go in a very short time. Great service and very fair price.

During the 2019 Chicago Boat show I met with the salespeople at skipper buds and considered buying a demo unit they had in stock, however they did not have any photos of the boat. They talked me into making a $1000 "refundable" deposit and then drive within 2 weeks to Oshkosh WI to view and decide if I want to purchase the boat. I went to Wisconsin and was disappointed the boat was not as advertised and quite different then the new boat show model so I decided against the purchase. Till this day I have still not received a refund, which I told would be automatic if I did not move forward with the deal within 2 weeks. My latest email has enough nerve to blame me for not moving forward and states "I do not deserve a refund". That said I would advise people to be ware of doing business with skipper buds, as it's disappointing at best that such a large dealer operates in this fashion.

June 2019 our boat beeped due to a faulty warning sensor. Skipper Buds charged us to test the problem and guaranteed they could fix it. After months of back and forth with suppliers, it was ready for pick up in August. The beeping continued. We considered selling it through Skipper Buds, but did not send back the consignment contract.Sept. 2019 we were guaranteed it was now fixed and decided to keep it. We found the boat on the consignment lot with its cover blown 1/2 off. It was full to the floorboards with rainwater. The interior was strewn with a tree branch, garbage bag, soda can and the running light. We were told consignment department left it that way after showing it. Amends was to winterize, detail and deliver the boat at no cost. We received the boat dirty with waterski and wakeboard still covered in sludge. At spring run up 2020, the starter was shot and water was found in the oil. Our (new) mechanic could see the boat had flooded and attributed additional repairs due to flooding.
