Highly recommend Merten Marine, I work for a company in the marine repair industry and we we're needing a gasket badly for a vessel but Mercury didn't have it. Many websites lie about the current inventory levels so you buy it and you'd have to wait longer than purchasing it from Mercury. Bill from Merten Marine had what I needed for a 150 2 stroke, I highly recommend Bill to anyone that needs parts. Thank you Bill!

Unfortunately I cannot give a good opinion, they sent me some boxes supposedly wrapped together, this shipment only arrived in part and after more than a month waiting I have no proof of the dispatch nor have I received the missing merchandise and they rest their responsibility on a UPS service which I did not request. UPS indicates that they do not receive wrapped boxes and if they did receive them they should have 2 labels, leaving the responsibility on Merten Marine. The truth is that I do not have the product or the money back. Too bad, I'll never buy from this guys anymore.

Had ordered a trim switch for my 90hp outboard and requested priority mail my credit card was flagged as a high risk, ( not sure why ) but called Meten Marine and spoke to Bill he was super nice and apologized for the inconvenience and got my order out UPS wich came within 2 business days exactly the part I needed to get my boat back in the water. Highly recommend and would do business with again. Thanks Bill for the great customer service Gene L.

these guys are very knowledgeable and that is rare these days when most retire or have passed away. I have been going here for over 30 years with two boats with great care and educating me when most don’t care to take the time to educate the situation you have, that’s rare and I never get a complaint from the people I send Merten marine, don't get ripped off and visit this shop, sometimes they get very busy so call first.

Called this place for two days and left two messages I wanted to do business. NEVER got a return call. Called a third time about 1/2hr before closing. Finally an answer. When I asked why I didn't receive a call back I got excuses and never an apology. " I'm on the phone now,what's your problem" is the response I got. Extremely unprofessional and obviously needs no new business if that's how they're going to be. I hope management sees this. They need to teach some people skills. WOW!

Jim Merten Jr. knows what he's talking about...I recently had my SunTracker Pontoon boat repowered from a 2010 Mercury 50HP 2 Stroke to a 2022 Mercury 90HP CT 4 Stroke, and I needed a prop for it that would be a good balance between performance for pulling tubes/skiers vs. cruising across the lake for dinner.I spoke with Jim Merten Jr. at Merten Marine and he was instrumental in calculating the right prop for me first time out of the chute. He ran the numbers thru his application and recommended an Mercury 8M0084493 Spitfire 14x14P. He thought this four blade prop would be a good all around performer for what I do with my pontoon. He said it should have good low end torque to get the pontoon up and on top of the water, and that I would probably get around 28MPH WOT. I ordered the prop from Merten Marine online and received it in a couple of days.I took my repowered pontoon out for its maiden voyage yesterday and ran it thru a two hour break-in per the new Mercury outboard manual. I was able to hit WOT for one minute out of every ten minutes. I have never been so happy with this boat than with this new motor and the prop Jim recommended for it. That motor/prop combination gets that boat up and out of the water damn quick, and the top end I saw twice yesterday with the Bimini top up was 28mph, just as he said.So thanks to Jim Merten Jr. for helping me out with the right prop the first time.
