We needed an urgent visit for our pet, as usual they arranged a time on the same day. Dr. Kratt was very thorough and our pet is on the mend. Always have gotten great care for our pets there, been going there for 20+ years.

We've been going here for a very long time. Today we had to put down our beloved Stormy. On monday we called and they got us in to check what was wrong on tuesday. The ultrasound vet wasn't there until today, but we had to make the decision to set her free as it showed she had cancer. Stormy spent her last minutes looking directly at me and the doctors and vet techs were so supportive and understanding. Really don't understand the negative reviews. They are so honest and caring.

I have been going to Central Animal for over 12 years with now 5 German Shepherds. It is very expensive, like many things in this world now. But, I appreciate the vets knowing their limitations and being honest about them. With certain things (hip/elbow x-rays for certification and breeding-related things), I go to a different vet in Madison. Kim is wonderful with my dogs (some vets are terrified and refuse to work with Shepherds or big breeds). Kim is always thorough and compassionate, takes time to examine my dogs, and spends time talking to me about my concerns. She is so wonderful.

Took my dog for ultrasound, too hopefully find out what is causing her bloating. Unfortunately, it wasn't good news.

Thanks Doug and Kim for taking wonderful care of our dog Ben. We had him for 12 years. Throughout those years you have been very kind. Always took good care of him. Diabetes finally got him. You both are outstanding vets. Our family has 4 other dogs that you also do a great job of caring for. Anytime we needed to bring him in we were able to do that quickly and our calls were also answered with knowledge and caring. Thanks again. We appreciate you both.

Central Animal Hospital has been the vet service for my two dogs for the past two years. The vets, techs and staff are friendly and helpful. My dogs even enjoy going to see them. Convenient for North La Crosse and moderately priced. Central Animal Hospital has been equipped to handle my pets medical needs including a canine tooth extraction. They are connected with other veterinary clinics around La Crosse so there is always someone available even for emergencies and weekends. I would recommend Central Animal Hospital.

Will never return, after making the difficult decision to put our 13 1/2 year old dog down, was told he was a "senior dog." And he didn't feel ethically or morally ok with putting him down. Our dog hated car rides and was more active upon arrival, he was blind and deaf, not eating much. Slept majority of the day, etc. His nose worked great so he was taking in all the smells from previous animals that had been in exam room also. Was not the same dog we had at home with us on a daily basis. Made an extremely awful time even worse with his comments. He did the procedure after making the comment about the adrenaline rush our dog must be having. It was a peaceful transition for our beloved dog but the added unnecessary comments regarding our judgment and added stress was not appreciated. I think owners know their animals well enough to make the decision when its best to let them go.
