I have had nothing but good experiences here. My medical team during my recent day surgery experience was beyond amazing. I couldn't have asked for better treatment. They were kind, respectful and allowed me to recover at my own pace. There was no rush to get me out the door. They did everything in their power to make me comfortable and put my mind at ease. I would definitely recommend Aurora to anyone.

My husband and I have been fortunate to be able to use this facility for many years. They have great doctors and nurses who are professional and caring towards all their patients. Aurora is a top notch medical facility providing excellent quality healthcare.

Radiology results take a ridiculously long time to get back. My anxiety from waiting is giving me panic attacks. I have never had to wait more than four hours before. Going on days now. Will be switching to a different healthcare group going forward.
**edit for update** now on week 3 of waiting for results. I would not recommend Aurora to anyone.

I just want to say the the nurses, nurse practitioner's and doctors were good to me from the ER to admission. Saved my life... The only complaint I have is the food for patients..... I work at Angels Grace Hospice as a Culinary Specialist and I would never serve any patient or family member the food I was served...... scrambled eggs with two uncut pieces of toast (bread) thrown on top a pile of awful eggs, a hamburger with rotting lettuce ..... and I got to a point my son brought in Chinese food so I wouldn't keep throwing the food out.... I am ServSafe certified.... I know the difference between quality food and sub standard food ..... talk with your food service crew..... what they serve is an embarrassment..... The patients should get good food service..... this was horrifying to say the least....

The awesome staff, nurses and doctors saved my life twice this year now! God Bless all these people at what my kids call, “the huge hospital!”

They do not care about their patients. I am sick of Aurora and their complete lack of professionalism and quite frankly, their incompetence.

If you get a test such as radiology or MRI just be prepared it will take for ever to get the results. Had to call numerous times to get told they haven't looked at them yet. Although the people that took my call were all very nice.

Large but confusing hospital with nice and helpful employees.
Parking lot signage is worn out and illegible. No clear indication of the main entrance from the outside. “Clinic parking” does not mean “visitor parking” or something similar for non-employees.
PLEASE put up a map in every hallway that includes a star that indicates “you are here”. Walked in circles after entering at the non-manned entrance. No receptionist at 3pm on a Friday. For someone with walking problems, seeing a hallway that goes in forever with no indication of what might be at the end begs the question - if the hospital won’t put up signs, will they at least offer powered carts like Walmart has? I’m young but walking tires me out and I don’t feel supported here. 2nd and 4th floor hallways have a sign at the beginning but no overhead signage as you approach a manned desk. You have to stop and read the 12”x 20” sign at each desk to find the department name and list of doctors.
Nice looking cafe (unstaffed at 3pm on a Friday) and many construction projects inside in progress. Written July 2023

I had a CT scan of the chest on July 1st. The tech said results would not be available for about 10 days.
I saw the pulmonologist one week after the scan and while he could pull up the study, the from the radiologist were not available. That is poor service

My 86 year old mother visited ER and was subsequently hospitalized with pneumonia for 5 days. I cannot say enough good things about each and every person that helped care for her. They treated her like family and made a scary experience a wonderful road to complete recovery.

I went to Aurora Summit’s ER because I was in a lot of pain. I thought I had possibly sublaxated my hip. I saw Dr. Ricci, unfortunately. Before this doctor even touched me, he stated he didn’t think he could help me. That he was pretty sure this was a muscular issue and I would need an MRI-to simply follow up with my primary (the same primary that told me I needed to go to the emergency room.) He then proceeded to condescendingly explain both ibuprofen and Tylenol and how they work. He didn’t listen to my concerns. He didn’t palpate the actual area. He didn’t have an orthopedic on staff, manage my pain, or send me home with any answers or referrals. He made zero effort to help me. He ordered a x-Ray that I wasn’t allowed to see either. When I expressed to him that he was dismissive of my concerns, he proceeded to gaslight me and tell me how he has clearly validated me…when he didn’t. I went to the nurses station twice in tears. I even asked for a new doctor; one that would listen and treat me. I was declined a new doctor. I left in pain, with no treatment plan, and no answers. I was treated like a drug seeker. No effort was made to fix the issue. As I was leaving, I was struggling to get off the hospital bed and he was trying to hand me a piece of paper. I asked him just to set it down. He then tossed it and it landed on the floor. Smooth move for someone who came in in hip pain and couldn’t pick it up without a struggle. His ego was huge, he treated me like I was a moron, and there was zero treatment or equality of care. I will also be filing a formal complaint with Aurora. No one should be treated like this.
