Re: Animal Wellness Center- Oak Creek.
Fairly new client here, established 1 yr ago and have had two visits with my cat. Both appointments were with Dr. Hillary who was wonderful, she's very personable & approachable and took the time to explain everything. One thing that I really appreciated was the breakdown in cost regarding elective bloodwork prior to procedure taking place. I would have done it regardless, but the fact Dr. Hillary was considerate & informed me ahead of time was quite kind/ courteous. I hope to have Dr. Hillary as my cat's vet for the duration of her life.

Dr. Hillery was terribly rude and stand-offish. Our visit lasted a whole 3 minutes and she wouldn't let us discuss anything else about our dog's issues, which I assume was to make us schedule another appointment to pay more money. She was very rude to my mom when discussing my dog and it was completely unprofessional. It is unfortunate because my mom was really excited about this place and wanted it to be our new vet. Please please please take your pets elsewhere. All they care about here is money it seems.

The place was clean and friendly, my dog was treated well, and I wasn't charged a zillion dollars to have him vaccinated and checked out.

If you care about your animals don't take them here, The staff is just fine it's the veterinarian Hillary that makes the place no good anymore, she's only concerned about money not real concerned about your fur baby, my dog went three days without seizure medicine because I had to go back and forth with her and pay hundreds of dollars and still have to have the pharmacist who was patiently waiting and expecting the fax because he knew it was supposedly supposed to be coming, call to get the prescription because the fax she supposedly sent never made it to Walmart pharmacy, she told me oh well she sent it not her problem Walmart's fax machine must be down when it clearly wasn't, not even the courtesy of giving me a replacement paper copy of prescription.

Dr Hilary doesn't actually care about your animals it seems, she's more worried about how much she's going to be able to juice you for. I called her to refill my dogs seizure medication that she prescribed for it, and I was told I needed to bring her in for a checkup before she could refill it, i did that and $100 later I got a tag to put on around my dog's neck but no prescription when I called for that Prescription again roughly 2 weeks after the first appointment because my dog was pretty much out of meds, they said I needed to bring her in again for blood work draw now, okay she had blood work and another 100.00, now they said they would send the prescription over to the pharmacy mind you it's Friday night dog already hasn't had her medication for 2 days because I've been playing games with these people, i call the pharmacy nope nothing was sent over wouldn't you know it they're closed at the vet clinic so now we're going on day three with no seizure medication for my dog but they got paid so I guess that's what's important

My first visit here and I was over the moon with joy after my appointment taking my not so little tuxedo in for a possible UTI. This is the kindest, most organized, and thoughtful clinic I've ever taken my pets to. Dr. Hillery Boyden is phenomenal and incredibly dedicated to her patients, and her team welcome you in like family. Thank you ladies for all your help treating my fur baby Humphrey! He's feeling better already. *Extra credit for the holiday decor! Love it!*

I had to bring my kitten in for a urinary tract infection. Long hair domestic about 9 months old he was not declawed he was a rescue. The Veterinarian was a tad rough but nothing extreme, just a bit rougher than he was comfortable with. Because of this, a kitten being a kitten did what a kitten does and nipped at her and bit her hand. Full disclosure there were 2 tiny teeth marks on her hand between her thumb and forefinger, kind of like pin pricks. Obviously not cool obviously not fun to be bitten by a kitten they have teeny tiny sharp little teeth they are like tiny pins at that age. I can concede to that. However, what happened next was mind boggling. Then came the insane reaction from this woman who I believe is the main Vet at this Oak Creek location. She informed me she had "No choice" but to contact Milwaukee County animal control center to report that she suffered a bite from my kitten. Her reasoning was because I did not have her vaccination records for cat rabies. [Note: No, my kitten did not nor has he ever had rabies.] She then informed me if I did not "surrender" him she would contact the Police and send the Police along with animal control to my home where they would "Get him anyways". I did not surrender my kitten. I grabbed him, ended up leaving his carrier behind, and headed out the door. The Vet, this woman then physically attempted to block us from leaving. She did move aside when I asked her to please move out of way calmly explaining to her that her behavior was beyond non professional bordering on psychopathic. I can admit that was not polite of me nor was calling her behavior psychotic the right thing to do. Rather immature of me however in that moment that is truly how I felt and in retrospect, I still feel that way. That was my experience with this particular Veterinarian specifically at the Oak Creek location on Chicago Ave. Not to point out the blatantly obvious here but I would recommend taking your pets elsewhere.
