Amber Foster at the Brodhead branch assisted me with a mortgage loan. She was very knowledgeable and made the entire process quick and easy for me. She was very communicable and a pleasure to work with. I would recommend her to anyone.

You're not a valued customer. Don Zimmerman threatened to close our accounts when we stated how unhappy we were that we were getting charged by another financial institution due to the Sugar River Banks mistake. Hard to believe that such a threat would be made to a loyal customer who's family had multiple accounts for years. Not to mention it was over a $15 charge. I followed through on my end and closed our accounts due to the way he thinks he can treat customers. He even had the nerve to call me after the fact and still act is if that was an okay way to treat people. Take your money to someone that will appreciate you.

Very poor security practices! 2014: My 17 year old daughter wanted to open a savings account to save her graduation+ money for college expenses. They told her because she was under the age of 18, it was policy to have an adult sign-on to her account.

Very poor security practices! 2014: My 17 year old daughter wanted to open a savings account to save her graduation+ money for college expenses. They told her because she was under the age of 18, it was policy to have an adult sign-on to her account. They failed to explain to her that later, they would allow that adult full access to her funds; including a withdrawal slip that had her name printed, but not signed; in addition to allowing a funds transfer from her savings to the "co-signers" personal account, without her knowledge or approval. 2017: When she went to access her funds, what was once a good start for college, turned into $80, and all this bank could say was "sorry". Their "security" practices go well below poor ethics. Not once, but twice, and possibly many other times with those who trusted this bank. Who looks out for the main account holder? Why was she not contacted since her 18th bday was before her account was dipleted? Why didn't they question, but accept, the forced print, not signed, withdrawal slip? Then again allow a full transfer to another account? They were negligent by allowing her account to be compromised. Knowing people since high school, or through family or local taverns, shouldn't give this organization a free-pass to not question unethical, border-line criminal, behavior; also, people who bank from out of town shouldn't be any less important. I highly recommend whoever is considering, to bank elsewhere. *deposit slip was forged, and accepted at this bank*...

Been banking with them for around 4 years. Leaving the bank due to how they treat people. They were once a good Bank, but now are rude and not worth the time. Reason for me leaving bad review and planning ot leave the bank, is how they handled a 65 year old lady getting mad they closed her account and almost messed up her SSI. Details will not be shated, but let's say this. It was enough for me to close my free checking account and go to a place where I pay each month for an account.

After banking with this bank for over 15 years I cannot use my debit card as a credit card. Moved out of state and kept bank account open because I liked them. Today I had an emergency and needed to use my card and was told I could not do it unless I used my pin. The whole time I have never used my pin. Now they won't let me use my own money. I have nothing nice to say about this bank. If I ever moved up there again I would never use this bank ever again. Worst service I have ever seen.
