It's always a pain to go to the post office regardless of location. This post office is small but effective. Though they are short staffed the workers are very helpful and do their best to keep the line moving.

This may be the best post office I’ve ever been to. The staff is so nice and friendly and it is never a long line or wait. Happiest government employees I’ve ever seen.

I have been in Monona for 4 years now and most of the time the service is beyond incredible. That is when our regular person - Dave - is working. The folks in the office seem nice and efficient when I have to drop off packages that the temps miss picking up. Overall a good experience and MUCH better than U*$

USPS is a bunch of crooks. You're telling me it cost $120 to ship a 2 lb golf club!?! Appalling, to say the very least. If I don't have to, I don't think I will ever use USPS for anything again. What an absolute joke.

I've had very mixed interactions at this post office. There's a middle aged woman with brown hair (didn't get her name unfortunately) that was extremely rude and seemed like she was trying to shame and ridicule me for not knowing about how to ship packages and even made comments about me, right in front of me, to other customers in the store who were behind me. Absolutely the worst customer service I've experienced anywhere. There are two other works though that are always very helpful and pleasant, one younger and one a bit older. This place is close to where I live but I'll be using another location from now on.

I purchased a PO Box online and couldn’t get the form to print out. Once I got to the post office, I asked if they had the form available and I was told no that I would need to print it out myself I then proceeded to purchase another PO Box because I was in need of it asap and was given the form that I was told needed to be printed out by myself. So I went forward with the PO Box that I had already purchased online. The post office employee took the paper and provided me my box number and keys. Several weeks later the mail that I was supposed to receive was sent back to sender. I went back to the post office and was advised by the very same employee that they never put my name on the PO Box and never put it in as I purchased it although they do show I have purchased and opened it(I also was provided keys the day I opened it) my mail was sent back as undeliverable.

Two clerks were very courteous. Timing hour visit for non-busy times helps.

I had to go there on a Saturday to get these certified mail out asap. Ik there was a lot and in the beginning I felt bad. Joanne at the front desk was rude and unprofessional. She threw a fit because I had those and she actually flipped me off not once but twice. She was also throwing the letters as well. I will be going to a different location and Joanne needs to be fired! Worst customer service ever!

I’m trying to support the post office but it is experiences like today that reinforce why the post office will ultimately fail as a business. I walked in to a near empty storefront. I asked for help when it was my turn, as I had Christmas presents I wanted to mail to my parents across the country. The lady was immediately snarky, sarcastic, and useless. I asked her questions and she responded in such a sarcastic and condescending way. I finally decided to try and figure something out for myself, and use a box for my needs, on the floor. Both workers went to the back and never asked if I had questions or needed help.
Hey lady, I’m asking for your advice because this is supposed to be your area of expertise. I get you’re tired; I’m tired too, having been at work since 5:00 am, but I’m not being rude to you. Then, the guy working there was super rude to an elderly woman that came in while I was struggling to make a package work, and that was it. I was over it and sick of them demeaning us.
Every question receives a defensive or almost attacking answer. I don’t need to deal with that - and neither does she. I put the box back, wished her luck, as the man STARED at me (was he afraid I’d steal some tape or their shared lobby pen?! Lol) and I left. Needless to say, I’m at UPS and am happy to pay for their services. They help and will package for you, and answer questions... imagine that!
If you both hate your jobs so much, get new ones, because you obviously hate working with people. No one wants to go to the post office because of people like you. It’s a necessary evil, but as more options pop up, we will continue to take those as we don’t need to experience the abuse you heap on us as soon as we walk in the door.

I have never not had some kind of issue with this post office. People who work here are very rude. The location is closer than Milwaukee st, but not nearly as nice or helpful.

Horrible customer service. The man who works there is totally rude and comments things he definitely shouldn’t in front of customers. Happens almost every time I’m there. HORRIBLE
