The last few times I've been at the Monona location, I've been helped by Boris. Boris is extremely friendly and every time he helps me, it takes way less time than I was expecting. The other employees are also very nice and I've always had a great experience at this location.

I used to love Summit but the personal customer service is declining significantly. Maybe this is true of all banks and all are switching to virtual tellers? There are time when I've gone to the bank to get a significant amount of cash in certain denominations and have had issues. One time I went through the driver through virtual teller and felt like I was being disciplined for asking, not only for cash, but cash in certain denominations. It was suggested in the future that I go to a different branch.Next time I visited, I went into the branch, hoping I'd get better service went right up to the counter as there was nobody else in the bank and was told I had to first go to the virtual teller for assistance then get my 20s go to the real person to get the denominations that I needed . Why couldn't the first person help me? Why did I have to start at the virtual teller? This last time, I thought I would try and beat the system by making an appointment with a branch employee, but when I got there, I was told that they would not be able to help me as they do not have cash drawers so I would have to go to the customer counter, but thankfully they let me avoid the virtual teller. The teller had a weird way of counting the cash, and it was hard for me to keep track of it, but about 10 minutes after I left, I get a call that they had shorted me now I have to go back. I guess I should be thankful I received a call. For these reasons I'm strongly considering switching banks, in hopes, there's another bank, they can better give personal customer service.

Branch decided they were gonna pull one on me for some credit card fees. Told them I didn't want a credit card and they sent one anyway... When I was young, too! Tried to earn good credit with their help and this did not happen; ultimately had to go to them and tell them to cancel every account I had with them as they were (to me) obviously not interested in helping, but issuing cards and ultimately the late fees I'd acquire. I don't think they ever helped me find my credit score once, but they helped it go down!

Can anybody say "train wreck"? Closing both checking accounts and savings. Too many issues since we joined in 2018. Can't stand Summit as a whole. Worst mistake we ever made was doing business with them.

I really hate the lobby teller machines and the drive up machines can't do cashiers checks even though I called ahead and they said it could, but no. If there are others in the lobby you can't hear and you need to talk loud and then everyone knows your business. Tried to get a cashiers check last time from teller and she said she couldn't do it, but today the teller in the machine said I had to go in and the teller could help me. Mixed messages much? I miss person to person banking.

these banks and credit unions switching to these machines with people sitting at home as tellers is absolutely ridiculous. i will continue to close accounts and stop letting my money sit at these places

Last year after two months residing in Monona, I’ve quite had an overwhelming experience here a few times only because I can get easily irritated! I often have difficulty socializing with people I knew for a long time and associating with people I’ve never met before! It’s just my mentality. So I didn’t know what to expect and I wasn’t prepared for what’s to come and what was going to be said because I’m literally new here to Madison. All I need to do is just plan ahead. But honestly, there is something about this place that’s absolutely wonderful! Their efficiency, community outreach, etc. Not only that, the staff working there are super polite and super kind to assist me with all of my online banking stuff!!

There is little or no control to stop fraudulent charges on your part either online or using the app. You are only contacted when a charge is suspected of being fraudulent. Other than that, they provide great service overall.

Their fraud dept is a joke. Their banking system is so vulnerable compared to other banks. I have major continual problems with their system glitches- None of the links or buttons to confirm that the transaction was NOT authorized work- Everything always says "Sorry, our system is down". No one really seems to care.
