Please clean up your store, it's filthy. Floors, self check scanners, carts, price tags missing. Fire anyone not willing to work.

This is easily the worst grocery store I have EVER entered. And I mean ever. Let's start with the basics. It's the nearest one. Less than one mile from my house for the past 7 years. I am tired of getting sh$$$y food for lousy prices with terrible service. Case in point. One. Literally one. Bone in rib-eye. $55. At room temp, marinated for 10 hours. In worchestishire and cola and garlic as I've done for 40 years. Tough as a shoe. No flavor. Their produce ROTS within 2 days. Every time. Lettuce. Bananas. Corn. Everything rots. Refrigerated or not. They don't staff appropriately. Two days ago I waited 22 minutes for someone at the meat department. I hope they close. Literally any other business would be better. The only edible. Reliable. Groceries here are processed and packaged. So. Try a gas station. Literally any of them. THIS store lmakes me regret moving to this state every darn week. I LITERALLY drive 2 hours each way regularly to shop at a grocer whose produce doesn't rot, whose service doesn't suck. DO NOT SHOP HERE EVER IF YOU CAN.

Worst store ever! Not even one cashier on duty! Staff wandering around. Spoke to manager and even he was not able to operate a cash register - all self check out. Never coming here again

the insta carts are irritating as a shopper who is in the store purchasing my own groceries. The paid shoppers for insta cart don't yield right away to actual shoppers nor do they offer any acknowledgment (hello, excuse me, etc) there are limited registers open

It's been a little over a year since I last reviewed, and this location seems to have improved somewhat. The layout seems more standard to other Pick 'n Saves in town and my shopping trips have become less of a wild goose chase. Kroger brands have now completely replaced the Roundy's products that were previously available and are for the most part just fine. As others have mentioned, the produce section is small, but I've had decent luck with quality. The "natural/organic" items are all grouped near the produce; if you need a non-dairy milk, you'll find it here. This is one of the more convenient and less-trafficked grocery stores in relation to my house. It's not my favorite, but I'd now give it a full three stars as opposed to my mental 2.5 of last year.

I went in there today, purchased the salad bar and the fruit was absolutely horrible. I called the produce to explain to her that the honey dew was not good, and she never once said that she was sorry, all she said was okay yep I will look at it. I did not ask for a refund or anything, I just told her that she should check the fruit and make sure it was okay. She was not very understanding, nor did she seem to care at all.

I am so disappointed in this store! Ever since it switched over from Copps and Kroger took over, things have been going downhill. The produce is much less fresh, and the meat is horrible. I bought some tenderloins on sale and we put them on the grill tonight, and they were literally inedible. We threw them away! They were so tough, you couldn't even chew them enough to swallow them, and we grilled them to be medium. And the flavor was terrible. Also, they have discontinued many things that I like to buy at my local grocery store.

I live in Fitchburg. I have two other Pick 'n Saves closer to me, but I will go to the Monona store over either of them every time. The one on Park doesn't stock a lot of things others do, it's a smaller and older and feels like a completely different store. Fitchburg burns their deli chicken. While in the summer it is frigid in the Monona store, however it is still the best of the Madison area stores. Their deli is excellent and I love their bakery. I only wish they were open either until midnight or 24 hours as I work third shift and I'd love to stop in on the way to work to get lunch for that night.

The sample salmon from the meat&fish is absolutely delicious and definitely worth a try! Staff is friendly and helpful today. Store is neatly stacked and store is fairly clean. Although, it's less busier than usual, so we were able to shop and check out fairly quickly. Worth the weekly grocery trip to this Pick n'Save.

Pros: Great produce! Clean store! More organic and whole food options! Sale prices on certain items are pretty good! (Think half priced wine, last chance items deeply discounted (sometimes by up to 75-90%, etc.)) Cons: customer service not always on fleek. And most irritating of all: The dreaded fresh perks card. Registered an account but can't find me in their system on occasions I don't have my card. I do not appreciate this wasteful system. No one wants to keep track of an extra piece of plastic. Who's got time for that?

I nanny in Monona and frequent this grocery store. They have remodeled and everything looks nice. They tend to have what I need in easy to find locations. They also always seem to be training or doing team exercises the last few times I've been there which is cool to see... Why I rate so low is because of customer service. Though I have had good interactions with friendly staff at this Pick N Save, it's usually with the same 3 people. I was in today and if I went down an isle with a staff member, there was no hello or asking if I needed help to find anything. When I went to the register to check out, the lady did not say hello or say one word to me throughout the transaction; she didn't even tell me how much my items cost, I had to look at the screen and find out. I was not impressed. This kind of little interaction or lack of friendliness has happened on more than one account. Not just this time. I will be back because of the convenience of the location, just hope to see some smiles next time! :)

The location was just recently renovated. I think they made some much needed improvements to the store. They expanded the foods that they carry and I feel the quality of the hot/cold food they have available has been improved. I do still think there is room for improvement. One thing I am not a fan of is their meat counter. I try and buy fresh fish at least once a week for dinner. They have the same 4 types of fish every single time. They never switch up what they offer and it's very redundant. I think they have been making some good improvements but there is still more to be done to make this a great grocery store.

The store is clean enough and laid out fine, but I'm still disappointed in the lack of organic options. I really needed some whole, organic milk for my daughter and was hoping to make it speedy... not have to drive another 10 minutes to Woodman's. They had literally NO options. However, I will say that their staff is overall very friendly. A lot of them have been there a while and I have to visit quite frequently for work... And they are always very helpful and friendly. That's definitely a plus, so if they would expand their organic options I would definitely visit more.

I like this location in Monona since it seems quieter in terms of people traffic. Also, it's super close to work, so it's more convenient for me. I feel like the produce section is smaller than other Pick 'n Save locations' but I'm ok with it. I was a little disappointed that they did not have Swiss Chard for a recipe I wanted to make. They had all the other leafy greens though! Everything seems relatively new inside in terms of fixtures or even credit card readers, so that's good.

I really tried to give Pick n Save another chance, but was sidelined after multiple attempts to simply shop for some sale items. I had a Roundy's card back when PNS was Copp's, and since I had a few sale items in my basket, I stopped by the customer service desk to look up my "Fresh Perks" number before going to the checkout. I needed the Fresh Perks number to get certain discounts using the coupon app, Ibotta. After giving my phone number and last name to the clerk, she let me know that "there was no match found" in her system. In an effort to get around the error in her system, she tried to create a new account for me, but couldn't because "my number was already registered." After this back and forth for 10 minutes or so, the options she offered me were to create a new account with a different number (which I don't have) or shop without a card. I put the few items back that I had picked out and left the store. Guess I didn't need to give PNS another chance after all!
