“Repairing and repurposing thrift store furniture is one of my hobbies. I wanted to make a new bed frame with the headboard from one bed and sides and footboard from another bed. I needed to cut the edges of the headboard and drill new holes in the legs to connect it with the rest of the frame from the other bed, but I didn't have the tools and the skills to do precision work like that. Joe did excellent work and very nice finish on all the parts he worked on, everything fit flawlessly when I reassembled it. Communication was extremely easy, with texting and pictures. Highly recommend this business, the hourly rates are very reasonable for quality work, and the projects are promptly completed, there was less than 24 hours between drop-off and pick-up of materials.”

Love the layout. It makes browsing seamless. Love the cleaners of the store and crisp smell. Very inviting atmosphere, which can be dangerous, especially if you are on a budget.”

“Rubin's is either your cup of tea or not. The styles are generally modern, Scandinavian inspired and very interesting. We stopped at their warehouse/larger store (there is also a design center downtown) and found a large showroom full of things I'd very much like to buy. There's a clearance area off to the side that sells floor models and returns at good discounts. We were looking for some lounge-y chairs and there were options aplenty. Helping us was very knowledgeable Barb who was never intrusive and let us look around. After making the rounds, we kept coming back to one specific chair - Barb let us know they had 2 in stock from a cancelled order (most things are made to order) in our preferred color, plus they were included in their anniversary sale. SOLD!! I work on the commercial furniture side and felt that the quality here was oberall very high and the prices, for what you get, are pretty fair. It's not IKEA prices to be fair but it's also not made in China crap that will fall apart and bottom out in a few months. You'll love it if: you appreciate mid century or modern design, want a high level of quality, want to customize items. You won't like it if: you need cupholders in your furniture.”
