Such a fantastic stop. My wife stopped here on a whim while camping in the northern highlands state forest. The owner, Andrew was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. They have Fantastic rates on all day rentals, and if you decide to purchase a new or used board he takes that off the total. Seriously such a fun way to try then buy!! My wife is ecstatic and can’t wait to hit all of the local lakes, of which Andrew gave some great recommendations.As someone who was researching and on the fence about purchasing, I found my experience here to be so fun and informative that we will be driving back up to not only camp, but for any future kyack/paddle board/canoe purchases and rentals. If I could give 6/10 stars I would. Google also says he is closed on sundays, but on labor day weekend he is open on Sundays until 2! Remember to sneak in!

Awesome experience here! We bought a Wee Lassie canoe and a fishing paddle boat and both times had great interactions with Andrew. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Highly recommend!

Brought my fat bike in for a front brake bleed after the hose was ripped out during some off trail shenanigans. In about an hour I was back on the trails again. Thanks for the great service and communication, will definitely be back with any needs in the future!

Rented some ebikes for the day and had an amazing time riding the bearskin trail. Staff was very helpful and nice. Cannot recommend enough!!!

The crew at Chequamegon were fantastic, and exactly what we were hoping for! Came into town looking for an afternoon kayak rental. These guys have a ton of inventory of the best single and tandem kayaks. Then they went the extra mile and provided some terrific recs for where we should take it out on the water. We settled on Clear Lake just a few miles down the road and had an awesome afternoon. Really appreciate the service here and couldn’t recommend them high enough!

Rented a few kayaks, Andrew was setting up some nice new wooden racks but helped us none the less. Great new gear, paddle some top quality gear with these guys…. So many lakes to choose from but they steered us into som pristine spots with the help of the rentable trailer which made it easy to move easily from lake to lake.

Andy and his team have always been more than fair to me. Constantly willing to make recommendations based on my needs vs their bottom line. over the lifespan of 2 kayaks, an outfitting tent, two paddle boards and a guided sea kayaking trip to the apostle aisled, I have never felt like I got the short end of the deal. I would recommend this group of professionals time after time.
