Staff was very rude and inconsiderate; the pool and hot tub were very dirty.. Place is very insecure; the outside side doors, nor pool doors locked; very unsafe!!! Definitely better places to stay around the area...

Very clean, cozy, and they had a perfect breakfast to start our day. The staff were friendly and helpful and the prices were great.

We just can't get over price differences we paid 69.00 plus tax at quality inn not to long ago from Saturday to Sunday then the one in mineral point wants 120.00 plus tax for same room from Saturday to Sunday I'd rather stay in my car for that price ?

I had the most amazing and comforting experience at this hotel, I've never seen such great service and kind customer support. The front desk workers were all very polite to me and the owner is also a sweet lady who treats her customers well. I'm not sure if this is just the hospitality of the small town mineral point but I really enjoyed my stay. I recommend staying here.

Made a reservation online, when we arrived the front desk said no rooms were available although we had a confirmation. Front desk staff was screaming at each other and appeared drunk out of their mind. They finally gave us a room and upon entry we noticed a giant mushroom with a spider inside growing through the shower floor. Clearly housekeeping doesn’t pay attention or clean very well. Disgusting place. Don’t book here.

We stopped here for the night and the person at the desk said they didn't have any rooms available. We went out and booked one online and then went back in again and they suddenly had a room or us since we had a reservation. We did realize later that it was a wheelchair accessible room so not sure if they don't normally use those but hey we didn't have to drive further for a place to sleep so that was great. We did enjoy our stay and they have a nice pool and hot tub.

This is where to stay if you come to Mineral Point to drive ATV's. Otherwise, stay elsewhere, perhaps in Dodgeville. It has a friendly staff, but it seems to be a place where people go just to sleep before going out for the day on the ATV trails.

This has never happened to me, but there was absolutely NO ONE at the front desk to check me in. I tried dialling "0" on the phone to get someone and all I got was a busy signal. Even tried calling the two numbers they said to call - same response, busy signal. Tried calling on my cell phone multiple times and it didn't go through. I stay at this hotel at least twice a year. If this is the "service" I'm going to get from what I perceive to be the new owners, as much as I like the place, I think I'll stay somewhere else.

My stay at this hotel was great! My room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The staff was always cheerful and very helpful. The continental breakfast was sufficient for me. If I return for another class at Shake Rag Alley, I’ll definitely stay here again.

This hotel is clean and quiet, and the breakfast is solid. The only bad thing was that I was going to shower on the second night and the faucet handle snapped off in my hand...as it was late on a Saturday night, they weren't able to get someone in to fix it that night, which I totally understand, but said a maintenance guy would be there the next day, and that's pretty good for a small town like this during a weekend. I just was concerned that such a serious mishap occurred in the first place.

Basic hotel, Susan was knowledgeable about the local restaurants. Breakfast was basically bought from a Walmart. Biggest letdown was when I received my bill for the week on the back was a complete breakdown by name of who was in the hotel, what credit cards were used, (not numbers!) dates in and out. The front desk told me the paper was reused because they ran out of paper, the print out was 2 days old so you had time to get some more paper or at least just say you'll email the bill. Needless to say I did not make a reservation for the following week choosing to stay further away and drive in rather than deal with security concerns. Also no elevator so if you don't have a first floor room you'll be hauling your bags up a flight of stairs

We stayed in the King whirlpool suite during the week, Monday through Wednesday night. The price was a steal, we payed half of what you would normally pay for that type of room.Room was clean and everything was in good working order. There were two USB outlets on each nightstand lamp which I always appreciate. The bed was comfortable with ample pillows, with a few being soft and a few being firmer, giving you options. I’ve had back surgeries and couldn’t find a comfortable fit, but I usually bring my own pillows to use.Temperature control for the room was good, but we needed to leave the bathroom door open when not in use because it was cooler in there. The shower showed a few signs of wear and tear (which is to be expected) but functioned fine. I don’t understand people who expect everything to be brand new and perfect all the time in hotel rooms that get used repeatedly. The shower head was nice and high, and my husband appreciates this because he’s 6’5”.Whirlpool tub was nice after a day of hiking at Tower Hill state park.It was nice to sit on the couch to watch TV rather on the bed. Refrigerator was fine. We didn’t use the microwave. Two big windows to let in a lot of sunlight. The hotel was quiet and we both slept well.Good breakfast options.Surrounded by beautiful, rolling farmland and not far from area activities- Taliesen, state parks, farm markets and historic downtown Mineral Point. We would definitely stay here again.

The room was clean and sleep able.Breakfast was not worth going for.Mostly I am disappointed with the shower. Can you please take out the squealing reducer. Or offer me some earplugs so I don't loose my hearing while I shower. Besides that I would like the water to reach my body. I needed to use a cup to dump what water I could gather over myself to try and rinse the soap off.For the price of the room the least anyone could ask for is water pressure. It's there when I turn it on but once feed to the shower head it's so loud and just trickles out....

Comfortable beds, reasonably priced, and clean. Rooms have microwave and a fridge, which is always a plus. The location is quiet. Only problem was the air conditioner was a little loud, but that was a minor inconvenience.
