This hardware store is a convenient place for eastsiders to pick up odds and ends. They often have sales on things I buy, they have a great selection of things! Paint, cleaning products, llightbulbs, bird seed, key copies, even snow blowers.The employees are friendly and knowledgeable. You will always be greeted when you enter the store.They have a rewards program as well so you can earn discounts over time and get notified of sales. Check it out!

Average hardware store. Yet they have a whipsmart cashier named Madeline. And there's another cashier named Elinid. Both are idealistic and artistic. They seemed like cosplay people. Maybe they'd be better working for Wizard work as Xmen characters.I don't know if Elinid is iris name. Yet, you could find out and get off your butt.

This Ace location is a sister of my favorite hardware store, Village Ace on Port Washington Road. A younger, much less helpful sister, that is.I almost always buy something when I go to a hardware store. I usually get my bearings, make a mental list, and start shopping.This visit started the same. A friend and I were walking by, when he asked if I had been to this new location. When we got in, the cashier greeted us and asked if we'd been to the store before. I said, "no" and he offered help if we needed any any. This is the Ace that I know. On the way to the rear of the store, I stopped a few times, spotting three things I'd pick up on my way out, I remembered I'd needed a spigot for an outdoor hose. In the plumbing section, I found a clerk standing at a counter. When I asked, he said, "Aisle 15, far end, left side." I easily located some options, but mentally noted that the 'older sister' would have accompanied us to the spot, likely helping with the selection.When I found the area, I noted plenty of options and good stock. But I also noted there are two sizes, .5 and .75 inches. Though I didn't know which I needed, I was confident Ace staff would sort it out for me. The older sister always does. I approached a second clerk, another guy in his 40s, and asked which size was likely the one I needed. He said he'd have no idea. Period. The store is clean, organized, and apparently well stocked. But when my friend and I left empty handed, we asked each other what had happened to the helpful hardware staff reputation.I may be back, but first I'll go to visit the older sister, perhaps waiting till this one grows up.

After a disastrous, month-long experience attempting to order a grill from Lowe's, we decided to try our luck with Ace. Ordering online was easy and they had exactly what we were looking for - a Weber grill with free assembly and delivery. We ordered on a Monday and delivery was expected that Wednesday - so FAST. Well, we received a call from them on Tuesday indicating that they've assembled the grill and would we like it early/that day! Yes, please! They were there within an hour or so and brought it to the patio. We should have just ordered from Ace in the first place! Lesson learned.

This is a quaint Ace hardware and it almost looks like a converted home. The manager told me it was a converted Salvation Army store. There is a tiny parking lot out front that holds 3 cars but they also share an adjacent parking lot with the adjacent business to the north (a mom and pop restaurant I think). This wasn't obvious to a first time visitor but maybe this will help a Yelp reader. I was just running an errand to pick up a widget for the son and as usual the Ace Hardware staff was helpful as they are at all of their franchises.
