This 1 star is only for me to be able to post a review. My experience at the Good Hope location was horrid. Before I start I would like to commend DeShayne for being courteous. I explained I wanted to load my box truck that day, return the following day to auto transport my car. She offered detailed tips for one-way travel. More importantly DeShayne noticed I was overcharged by $600 and quickly issued a refund. I returned the next day to hitch my vehicle onto the auto transport. My friend and I came about 15-20 min before closing NOBODY greeted us despite being the only customers in the lobby. I knew I was in trouble once I saw a white young man w/ shoulder-length hair, Adrian, publicly VAPING at the front desk. I explained my situation and all the associates were looking around as who's turn it was to help the customer. Adrian gave the most incompetent directions on how to secure my car. He then says, "It's closing time and walks off." My petite friend drove the car on the trailer and had to SQUEEZE out of the car. Adrian never told us about the button to let the side panel down. I injured my finger trying to move the metal clamps per Adrian's instructions. I walked across the lot, asking Adrian again to please walk us through the process. He flat-out told me, "My manager didn't even want me to help you, I have stuff to do." "DeShayne said you would come back at 5pm & you missed your reservation." NO CONVERSATION WAS HAD ABOUT RETURNING AT 5PM. He walks off again. By this time I'm steaming-asking for the manager. The female associate witnesses this and pleas with Adrian to just check if the straps are secured. Again with the snarky comments, "If the straps are on, then it's secured." My jaw drops! Now I'm calling a tow company who was more than willing to help. No doubt my car would've rolled off the auto-transport causing major injuries/damages and even death if I just listened to Adrian's advice!! Had he taken 10 min to give detailed instructions, all of us wouldn't have had to spend an extra 35 min after closing time to proceed with our lives. As we are prepared to leave, John (manager) finally comes over and straps the tires down and anchors it with hooks. He shows us the button to lower the side panel for easy access to the car door. Although he had an attitude, I am grateful I didn't have to travel across town to the tow shop. I am a first time customer who spent A LOT of money with this company. I have worked several customer service jobs and would not dare be so flippant towards a customer. I deeply regret for ever considering U-haul.

The manager and the employees are cool it's the behavior of some of the customers is what you need to prepare for.

My biggest complaint was that we reserved a truck on line for the he Capital Street location went there and they had no trucks available got sent way out of the way to Good Hope Rd were they finally gave us a truck but the service is extremely slow if you go during peak hours expect to wait 30 min to an hour
