What a terrible company with even worse customer service. My only advice is to NOT book through this company. Their cars are 10+yr old junkers that have obvious problems and they offer no solution. I’ve never dealt with such a terrible company before, I was appalled at the way I was spoken to, as well as the quality of their vehicles. Deserves 0 stars, not an option

If I could give zero stars I would! Worst rental place ever in Mexico! Reserved our car months in advance got there and was told they had no cars waited hours and hours to finally be charged double for a lesser car than what we reserved. After that out to dinner one night and all of our things were stolen from the car not broken into just the stuff gone. When contacted the local police we were told this company keeps the clicker for the cars and tracks them and steals from them. It has been over a month and still have not been able to have someone reach out to me to file a claim on the thousands of dollars of items stolen. DO NOT USE!!!

at first only 2 people working with a queue of 20 people. took an hour to get our car reservation. after that things went well. car was clean and well maintained.their toll plan seems to be by plate which is the most expensive rate.

Worst car rental place ever. We made our reservations for our car 2 months ahead of time for thrifty out of Orlando. We had to wait in line for 3 hours till we could finally talk to someone. Then we were sent out to a parking garage to get the vehicle. We find another line with a couple hundred people in it and they ran out of cars. We ended up switching rental companies. Huge headache when you have a 3 and 5 year old at the airport till almost 2 am. I would never recommend them.

Very slick company, they make you sign for unnecessary extra insurances, full gas and not expect you to call back for refund.

Ridiculous long lines, should have a line only for stablished reservations. Customers that booked and reserved beforehand should not have to wait in line for hours because other people are having issues with credit check, did not reserve on time etc... Staff is polite and professional.

Absolutely atrocious. My reservation was for $115. I was charged $472, waited a couple days to see if it would be released which it wasn’t. When I called about it, they assured me the refund company would get in touch to walk me through a refund. 30 minutes later the refund company calls and scams me out of an additional $800. Do NOT use Thrifty. It may seem cheaper on the front end, but they are a bunch of con artists.

It was easy to rent and pickup the cars, despite the long lines. But the woman at the front desk asked if I would like to upgrade to a convertible. I asked “is it the same price?” She says “yes, it’s on a very good deal this week.” I agreed then but was given a total of over $400. Looking at the receipt, I was charged over $200 for the upgrade! I went back to the counter and she told me she never said it was the same price, it must have been miscommunication and they could fix it at the pick-up booth. Lied right to my face!I give them high stars though because Julie was awesome! When we went to pickup the car I told her what happened and she removed the charge, let us pick the car we wanted and made all the rest of the renting process amazing. She was kind, understanding and communicated so well with the whole process and gave us a new receipt showing the correct balance. Work with Julie if you can at MCO airport location and avoid Bonnie.

I arrived in Chicago to pick up a car. I was excited because there was no line. When I got to the desk they informed me that the car I rented would be an additional 30 minute wait for cleaning. They offered to upgrade to an suv and be able to go right away. This is feels really terrible to have to wait for a car when they know how many have been reserved. I guarantee there is a late fee if you drop your car off late but my scheduled pickup time gets delayed and there is no compensation.the staff was nice but the service leaves a lot to be desired.

Wish I could give 0 stars. Car’s alignment was terrible, got over 60 and it would shake like crazy, passenger side window wouldn’t stay closed, and the driver side heat wouldn’t work while it was 45 out. After I called to tell them about the vehicle, they said I should have returned it right away and there isn’t anything they could do for me. ?

Absolutely horrible!!. For our booking at Fort Lauderdale, there was a 4 hour wait to get a car due to overbooking. The representative at the desk told me that the wait could be 4 or could be 6 hours. We cancelled our reservation and then had to spend an hour on call with Priceline to get the refund.

Could not ask for 2 better employees 6/10/21 2:30 pm at Milwaukee Mitchell Airport. VERY understaffed and waited an hour before it was my turn to get my car and the line behind me wrapped all around the wall. Yet, the women continued to smile and be courteous. Very efficient and easy to locate and bring back car location. Drop off was quick check out.

Never told me there is an extra charge for a spouse to drive. I would have changed him to the only driver. Charged an extra $156 on my bill and won't do anything about it.

NEVER RENT FROM THRIFTY!I was 4th in line and it took over an hour to get me a car. Also, Thrifty is running a scam where they don't tell you that the toll pass isn't activated and then they charge you $15 per toll "administrative" fee.
