The Battlebox Video Games is a unique and one-of-a-kind shop and a great addition to the gaming community in Milwaukee. It is a staple and a hidden gem, especially for nerds and “blerds,” offering an alternative to traditional stores. The shop itself is clean, organized, and filled with an incredible and wide variety of products. This includes a great collection of video games, both old and new, as well as rare games, collectibles, figurines, and systems. The owner is very friendly, fair, and cares a lot about the community, often giving reasonable and great prices. It is not a traditional game store, operating with a unique business model for safety. Visitors must call first before stopping by. The owner will then let them in and often has specific items ready to go. This pre-arranged transaction policy, along with a locked door, contributes to a safe and great atmosphere in an otherwise not-so-great part of town. Next door, The Battle Lounge is a great and safe place attached to the shop. It hosts amazing community events like karaoke, anime nights with special ramen, cosplay, and tournaments. The Lounge also serves a whole menu of video game themed specialty drinks and is a place to have drinks, dance, make friends, and have fun. The business also runs an awesome reward program for students based on report cards and promotes supporting a local small business. Overall, it provides an awesome experience with great customer service and is highly recommended for anyone looking for anything video game related.

Love this store! Make sure to call beforehand because the owner keeps the door locked for safety. In a not-so-great part of town, this made me feel extremely safe. Owner is extremely nice and friendly! Always glad to support a small business. If you're a video game or figure lover I totally recommend stopping!
