Everything was very clean and refreshed when we checked in, and the guy at the counter was amiable and chill. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub with other guests and it was quiet, everything was in service. We had a tub which I appreciate after combing through lots of hotels in the area that only had showers (it is one of our must-haves!) You can hear the airport, but hey it's the big city. And it's nestled a few blocks away from big traffic, so the noise isn't right at your door. Will come back again when visiting MKE :)Rooms: It is nice to have a tabletop TV. My partner has poor eyesight and can't really see the smaller wall mounted TVs that hotels typically have. Everything is pretty standard for a hotel In this price range which is comforting and no surprises.

This hotel is by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed at on May 26, 2024. We had to change rooms several times. The first 2 rooms had hair in between the sheets. The next room had a bug in between the sheets. The next room air conditioner was not working. Finally the front desk Clerk walked with us to find a suitable room for the night in the first floor near the vending machines.Upon checking out of the hotel I noticed house keeping sitting in the rooms watching TV with their cart outside the rooms (this explains why the rooms are disguising) I left my complaint at the front desk along with my name & no# for Chris (manager on duty) to give me a call. They're should be some type of compensation for having to deal with this ordeal.I was NOT the only customer complaining about the rooms at this hotel.I will be contacting they're corporate office regarding this matter.

We were very dissatisfied with the rooms and with the customer service. The room that we had gotten had stains in the sheets? and hair in the bed ?and as we arrived the doors to the front of the building were locked and the cards would not open them. Nobody was at the desk and the phones were dead and there were other people waiting as well next to us to get into the building as well to get into their rooms. We sat out in the entrance knocking on the door for a while and after we had gotten in they told us that their Wi-Fi was down and still they had us wait longer for us to check into our room. They did not make any accommodations for us in return for the dissatisfaction. We asked for extra time before we had to leave the same day that we had checked in and they were hesitant on even giving us an hour so we could use the pool and come back And get ready to leave. Also, we have to add in the fact that we had a bad rash breakout after sleeping on the bed. Even though we had brought our own pillows. The sheets that were there had to have been used, not washed ect... This place will not get any stars from me. The location is in an all right location but besides that this hotel is very unsanitary not to mention when we went to breakfast that the waffle maker was dirty and the better dispenser was broken and had to be fixed before we were able to use it . The pool also is not heated. It was a very freezing cold We will never be visited by us again. ?

Do NOT stay here if you value cleanliness the rooms are DISGUSTING stains on every surface area and walls and carpet was so dirty, bed covers stained, dust in back of tv, microwave, refrigerator. THE BATHROOM SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER HAS NONE IN IT NOT REFILLED AT ALL. The bathroom was the only surprisingly clean place except bathroom door paint is literally pealing off. I didn't even want my puppy walking around the room. I literally COULD NOT stay and left to another hotel absolutely DISGUSTING. The front desk guy was the only nice part he was nice.Rooms: I literally COULD NOT stay and left to another hotel absolutely DISGUSTING.

Room rate is pretty low, so I gave it a chance (read good reviews) and they allow dogs, which we needed.Our room was not clean. Sheets looked ok, but when we pulled them back to look for signs of bedbugs, there was hair and food crumbs. The top bedspreads were just gross- stained and literal orange Cheeto finger marks on one. Ick. Also, lots of smudges and dirt on wall and door and switches. I wiped them with wipes I brought and almost all of it wiped away- so these rooms are not getting cleaned very well. We were on the first floor, and it was noisy. There was a lot of road noise and noise from the business across the street, plus noise from the hallway. There was someone vomiting in another room and I could hear it in our room! The heater didn’t work right. It was either on or off. Didn’t seem to match the temp we tried setting it to- just got too warm, so we left it off. The card reader for the side door doesn’t work, so we were told to prop it open with a rock to take our dogs out. The grounds were littered- just a lot of cigarette butts, vapes, and other random garbage.It wasn’t all bad. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast area, lobby, and pool area were clean and nice. Pool was really cold though. Breakfast was just ok. There were hot options, like eggs and waffles, and lots of other options like muffins, toast, yogurt. Parking was ample, and there were many places to eat close by.For me, the dirty room outweighed the good parts. I wouldn’t stay here again.

We stayed on November 24, 2023 for one night. We had two rooms..I believe they were 210 and 310, not 100% sure on the numbers but one was directly above the other. I don't want to completely trash this place because it seemed clean enough and maybe they didn't know but after reading some reviews from a month or so ago it kind of confirms my suspicions.. we brought home bed bugs. It has been a nightmare and a major expense dealing with this problem ever since. I sure hope that they take these reviews seriously and fix the situation.

COMPLETELY DISGUSTING HOTEL, I moved rooms 3 times and each room I continued to see hairs all over the bed, horrible service, I got treated with disrespectful and attitude, they really don’t know how to clean, smells like cigarettes all over the entire hotel, it’s so disgusting!!! DONT COME TO THIS HOTEL!!!

Here is another Choice brand hotel I've added to my short list of travel favorites - cheery helpful staff, comfy clean functional rooms, and convenient location.Rooms: Traditional style, not "updated," but everything worked just fine!Walkability: The streets around are busy but walkable with sidewalks.Food & drinks: The sufficient hot and cold buffet breakfast was complementary for all guests. Behind the front desk, I noticed a limited selection of snacks for sale. Almost just across the street, just northward, an excellent Mexican restaurant charmed me. Plus, many more restaurants and stores do business just around the corner on Layton Avenue.
