Most staff is friendly, better than the location on 27 st. The quantity of live animals for sale is low, especially in the fish room, besides a lot of them looking sick. If your looking for pet food or supplies, pretty sure they have it, the quantity on that is huge. There are small reptile, bird, and small animal rooms, also a big fish room that could also be small since there are a lot of empty tanks. This store used to thrive, it's not what it used to be

Used to be a pet care specialist at a Pet Supplies Plus and the animal care I see here is utterly abysmal. Overcrowded bird cages caked with feces on the bars and on the floor between the larger cages in the back, hardly any stimulation for them or even the small animals - which if you were to look at the rodent cages, all that's in there is bedding and a food dish. Not even a wheel or house to hide in. They aren't even meeting the bare minimum for these animals. Reptile room smells like p**** I don't recall seeing hay in the rabbit cages either, which is a large staple in their diet. I haven't gone in the fish area but judging by other reviews I think it's safe to assume that it's just as awful. The biggest joke is finding this place hiring for cashiers on Indeed; the people you should be hiring the most should be pet care associates. Despite the other reviews (some being as old as a year) it looks like nothing has changed for the animal welfare. No clue how the animals are as crowded as they are seeing as Apet (one of the main live animal suppliers to pet stores) typically has a limit.Either fix these conditions or shut down the store. Thanks ?

The staff don't know enough about the care of the animals they sell to help educate purchasing customers. Nor do they take proper care for the highest well-being of the animals in their care. Their prices are somewhat decent, but the store is usually dirty. I can't recommend this place. If you want to go somewhere local, Edens Garden and Pets is a great place to get many of your pets' needs, and they can even order stuff if they don't have it in stock.

If you're already depressed, this is the last place to go. The fish room has dirty tanks with no stimulation for the fish. Most of the tanks are empty or have dead, rotting fish among the living ones. The birds look lethargic. The reptile room is almost empty. The rodent room is the worst. The rodents have no toys at all and look sick. The rabbits are overheated and miserable in small tanks. No sunshine, fresh air or relief. The rodent room has a weird smell that I can't describe and it's not the ferrets.

Staff was kind. Unhelpful, but kind. The state of the animal cages were disgusting. I wish I took pictures but it was so bad we just got the heck out of there. A few of the fish had large white spots. Reptile and small animal area stunk the worse. You could tell the birds are the favorites because they were the best well taken care of. How this place is still open is a mystery. Owner, please come in and either redo the store and give your employees what they need to succeed or close this location down. ? I felt so bad for the poor animals.

I enjoy shopping here for pet supplies, but the employees are awful. The past few times I have shopped here, they were very rude. They all stand around the counter on their phones and when I asked for help, they seemed annoyed and ignored me. For someone who is just getting involved with pet keeping, these people are a terrible representation of this community. In the past, I have encountered very friendly and helpful employees at this store, but recently it has been very unwelcoming and a bad shopping experience. I usually never leave reviews, but I am seriously upset with the state this store is currently in.

This store is not what it used to be. There are barely any employees inside the store and the enrichment these animals have in their enclosure is to a minimum, if not there at all. This location used to be ran by a handful of employees who worked hard to make sure every animals’ needs were met. Now the animals seem like an after thought. The owner must’ve run this place to the ground. Hard to see it looking like this when I know firsthand what it used to be like. Also scary to imagine all these undertrained employees being able to sell pets to people ? I wouldn’t bother supporting this location again until they get their store running properly. Those animals NEED better.

Dead mice (picture below). Had to wait for them to mess around with my gift card for like 5 minutes because they didn’t really know what they were doing. Took three of them. They don’t really treat their animals all that great.

Huge store, one girl at the register, two stockers. We couldn’t find something, so the girl paged someone. A kid and a guy come up looking completely lost, with blank looks when we tell them what we need. One of them tells us that if they have it, it’s in the section we just came from. The store is almost empty, with three people in line at the same time, and the girl comments on how busy it is. 5-6 people in a store with 4 people inside, and none of them seem to know much.

Always friendly and helpful and their prices on good quality dog and cat food are lower than most. It's worth it to drive a little farther for me.

The store is not ran properly, when I went in the store was dirty and poorly taken care of. The hamsters had no wheel (can't fit a proper size wheel to begin with in the tiny tanks) or hides. Some of the waterbottles had algae starting to grow in them also. The guinea pigs had almost no hay. (Guinea pigs need hay 24/7 or they can go into GI statis) over all cages were dirty same as the rooms in general. The reptile room was just as bad. The crested gecko they had looked malnourished and very skinny. The turtle had over grown nails and looked miserable. The birds looked poorly cared for as expected and the floor wat sticky and grimy. Not worth coming in here I feel bad for the animals that are there being mishandled. And not taken care of properly

don’t shop from here!! i’ve owned reptiles all my life, and i have NEVER seen such bad living conditions for these animals. ball python with ONLY a water dish and no decor or place to hide (they’re secretive animals), pacman frog with absolutely no water, and so on. one of the workers even informed me that a snake had escaped and they were unable to find it— probably died somewhere in the store. for the small animal room, cages looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. same with the birds. for the fish there were several tanks filled with dead critters— absolutely disgusting. don’t operate a pet store if you aren’t going to genuinely care for your animals and look into proper housing and care, especially for any “exotic” species. do better.

Dan what happened? This store used to be the only place I would send people to buy animals. This store used to be ran militant and was always clean. We got reprimanded if the tanks were not properly cleaned before opening. There were NEVER sick animals on the sales floor. The cages were thoroughly cleaned once a week. The fish room was not “clean” if we didn’t scrub every tank front before opening. The sick and dead fish were removed from the sales floor BEFORE opening. I am so sad at how bad things have gotten. Come on Dan, you never would have allowed this. What happened?

Visited this location 2/18/23. Young man in reptile room was very polite and only person who acknowledged my existence. This was the only room that seemed to have adequate care (as far as the eye can see). I used to work at this location and i am EXTREMELY disappointed with the small animal room. Not a single wheel in any of the hamster/gerbil cages, not even a plastic or CARDBOARD hide. Almost all of the water bottles had mold inside of them or over half empty. I know myself that you are allowed to supply out wheels/hides for the pets in store so there is absolutely no excuse. PLEASE stop selling small animals if your employees don’t even know how to take care of them.

Where do I begin? This place looked like a deserted pet store.I used to shop here all the time years ago. I was disappointed to be greeted with a near empty fish room. Prices are on the average to high side, and their inventory looks... old and dusty. I walked around for a bit to see what kind of aquarium products they carry, but found nothing of interest.Walked passed 4 associates, was never greeted nor questioned if I needed assistance. I know where not to return next time I need pet supplies.
