There’s a girl who works here I think she’s a manager named Amy, I am DISGUSTED with what I witnessed, yesterday when I went in to get my dog food for my dogs I was eavesdropping into Amy belittling her teenage coworkers, if you’re reading this Amy you need to be fired, absolutely disgusting do not go to this location!

Let me start with the positive, some of the staff are very nice. Other than that this store is awful, staff seems to have no real knowledge about animals or their proper care. The animals they house and sell there look miserable and a lot of them seem sick. Multiple large aquatic turtles shoved in a tank that’s way too small with absolutely no swimming area and barley room to bask. One looked awful like it was covered in a white fungal infection and an injury, likely from fighting as turtles shouldn’t be housed together. This place should stop selling animals!

Their fish have Ick and dropsy, and they fired the only aquatics guy they had. No one else knows how to help those fish, they will more than likely die within 2-4 weeks of purchase. Their overflow filtration system is filthy, crusted with years of muck and calcium build up. They only mop when there’s animal poop on the floor, and do not feed the animals properly. The manager either hates her job or all the staff she works with as she’s always in a bad mood, you can’t call her or the owner sir or ma'am as they will snap and get mad. They overcharge for products that are sold cheaper in other pet stores. This location is by far the worst pet shop in all of West Allis. You will have better luck going to pet smart and petco than going here, you will be treated better and more than likely get a cheaper price than what this store has to offer.

Most staff were nice and helpful. One of the staff members is beyond rude, to not only customers but other employees.A blonde middle age lady, Was yelling and cursing at other employees infront of customers. Asked her for assistance in purchasing a guinea pig and she rolled her eyes, asked questions about the animal I was buying and she had no information and was not even willing to help! Brought down the entire vibe of the store. rough with the animals, and overall a very rude and unwelcoming place to be.

You lost a customer. Saved reciepts for a free bag of dog food only to find out my brand was discontinued from the program on March 1st. My final qualifying purchase was made prior to the deadline, and it was still not honored. Word of advice: If you dont want to lose customers to big chain stores, honor your commitments. I will no longer shop here after over six years of consistent business. Good riddance.

West Allis Store experience - Will not shop here anymore. Sadly the entire store has gone down hill with the level of care given to the animals. The birds are in the most deplorable conditions. Their water dishes are always filthy and they have tons of fecal dried which causes respiratory conditions. The crickets area breaks of dead insects and the fish room has despair in the tanks with algae blooms. The state seriously needs to shut it down because of the neglect the animals are faced with on a daily basis.
