This place is an absolute vibe. The staff and owner Ms.Martha are wonderful,caring and attentive people to be around. The price to get my hair done wasn't as expensive as I thought it was going to be. Which was nice as ever. I recommend this place to anyone. Patrice did my hair and I loved it.

Martha did my hair, and she delivered exactly what I asked for. As someone with 3c/4a hair, it's hard finding a stylist who is fluent with my texture. I had previously gotten some honey blonde highlights that just didn't compliment me, and Martha colored my hair jet black. I left with my hair shiny, healthy-looking, and beautifully trimmed. Martha even schooled me on the products she used, and I purchased the entire line from Amazon to maintain my hair. I would've purchased them from her directly, but I was visiting from out of town. Martha was fast, thorough, and very professional. It was worth every penny spent. The picture in pink is from my hair the evening of.****Update: I've been using the Affirm care line for 2 months now, and after each wash, my hair looks like I just left the salon. I wash and style once a week.

I have been going to Martha's for years and she is one of the best people to deal with as far as any problems with hair. She can give you the look you want to achieve . Her establishment is very professional and welcomes all.

My Lady got scammed by someone from this business posing to work there out of $40 and they tried to get even more money from her after receiving the $40. Stylist claimed she needed the money to get material to do my girl's hair. If you're an official business, shouldn't you have all the material to do the work that is being requested? Especially if the Stylist is supposed to be experienced in her practice, not to mention the hairstyle my Lady requested. Please, beware of this business. Call the business first before doing anything

OMG… the stylists were nice and all, but every single one of them is VERY heavy on the hands. My visit was a total of 3.5 hours with most of that time spent waiting. And what I saw and experienced was absolutely horrendous:No one is detangling the hair at the shampoo bowl like they’re supposed to. They’re not even making sure the hair is slightly detangled before shampooing. Either of which is not good for the girls with coarse hair. Then when they actually do detangle, they’re pulling so much hair out!!!! They’re starting from the root of the hair to the ends instead of vice versa. I saw so many girls sitting uncomfortably in their chairs because those stylists were literally pulling their hair out. It was ridiculous.The restroom is so worn down and dirty and no one is maintaining it throughout the day. The tissue-cover is broken with the tissue exposed, the faucet handles are dirty, and it’s not clear whether the hand soap is anti-bacterial or not; which would be ideal for the safety of everyone that uses it.The stylists are using the same combs on each customer and there is no barbicide or disinfectant anywhere in sight. They also aren’t disinfecting the chairs and shampoo bowls after each customer like they’re supposed to. I could go on and on about it but I think I’ve said enough. Martha makes entirely too much money off of these stylists to have the salon in the condition it’s in. No one is taking the time to actually care for the hair, they’re just trying to get girls in their chairs and get them out just as fast. If you care about your hair and overall safety, I wouldn’t patronize this salon. I will NEVER be back.

Martha is a genius!! She’s made every idea I’ve had for my hair come to life. I went from medium brown (previously dyed) to platinum and then got chunky highlights. She did incredible work every time. The best haircuts I’ve ever gotten are from Martha too!! She has more experience and expertise than most salons in the city. And she has better prices than most salons!! It’s hard to find a master stylist like Martha. I will be going to Martha foreverService: Hair coloring

I'm sorry I can't give them 0 stars. I made an appointment to have my bangs cut and hair dyed. I stated this several times to Teresa, with pictures. Instead, she cut off all of my hair, gave me a horrible style (uneven cut to top it off), and then refused to dye my hair on top of it all (a service I called to confirm they do at least twice). After cutting off all of my hair, she continuously blamed me for not stating what I wanted clearly, even though I did several times. I don't know what else 'just the bangs' could mean. I mean, instead of assigning blame, a simple sorry would've made me feel just a touch better about the mistake. Again, I apologize that I can only give 1 star, because I'd never trust any place that would hire a stylist like Teresa ever again.Service: Haircut
