“I have know Tony for decades and have shopped there countless times over the years. I can’t think of a more friendly establishment in Bay View to patronize or man to converse with on any given day.”

“The only reason I took a start away is because the store is pretty small. Other than that, great store, helpful staff, and above adverts shopping experience. There are a few things here that I come for - store brands that I can't find anywhere else comparible. Also, you never wait in line here. If even one person is seen waiting, they immediately open another register. There are no self checkouts, and they bag your groceries (and do an excellent job of it).”

“Desi Market opened up! Hooray!! I went in to check it out and found a wall of coolers full of Indian food and multiple isles filled with nice looking Indian groceries. The guy at the counter made me feel right at home and left me to slowly look at every isle.I got yummy layered mango jelly candy, coffee flavored cookies (great value) and a bag of crispy filled rounds. Each was unique and really good, and reasonably priced!Next time I'll be looking for some frozen Parantha Aloo, flatbread with potato stuff inside. I know it's within those coolers!”

“A small but very useful place when you need something to eat quickly during passover time?? without risking eating something outside of what is not kosher?? thank you! For having high quality and healthy products”

“I used to come here weekly for the sandwiches. So delicious. But of course, there are lots of other great things. Some of my favorites: great selection of nice charcuterie and cheeses, excellent meats, good variety of beer, wine, etc., nice produce, and a really great bakery/sweets case. We almost always get the Knudsens carmels also. Old timey feel, classic neighborhood grocery. Beware: checkout area is narrow and often congested, especially near dinner hours. Oh, and they have tiny shopping carts for the kids, which mine love. Couldn't imagine the neighborhood without this place.”

“The man at the cash register, which I am assuming is the owner, is cool with me. The man who makes the food orders in the back of the store is always very nice and he always makes sure he washes his hands before making our food. We've never been disappointed with our order! Merci beaucoup!”

“Authentic Russian / Eastern European grocery store. The owners are always nice and try to be helpful. Even when I don't know or speak the language. But when I try to describe what I am looking for, they seem to remember from when we last purchase.”

“I come here for Middle Eastern groceries from out of town. Good food selection, but the best part is friendly staff. I'm always greeted like an old friend. Family-run, and the owner is awesome and incredibly helpful if you're not always sure about what you need.”

“Yes they have a lot of food and things but they are way over priced. My friend uses the Western Union from them and they charge for the trans action. He says anywhere else he goes they don't charge him anything when he receives his money.”

“Member here. 5 things I like/love about this outpost.
1. Availability. In general they stock nearly everything I need.
2. Staff. There is a realness of the folks who work there. Unique personalities that exude kindness. Shoutout to the cashiers.
3. Produce. Veg and greens are herbs are always fresh.
4. Kitchen/sushi. Sandwiches from the deli never disappoint, sushi, particularly the poke bowls are excellent and the prepacked "to go" offerings are plentiful.
5. Cleanliness. From the parking lot to the freezers, Outpost is maintained very well. It stands on its own and gives big chain grocery something to aspire to.

5 things I don't like/love
1. Selection. Sadly, this is not my place for fruit, bread and flowers. I really wish it was. I get that those three in particular are hard to scale with a consumer in mind, so as a member, I get that that is a real obstacle. Peaches this year were outstanding.
2. Local foods. I'd be nice to see more wisconsin grown food. If it's there in abundance I'm missing it. I firmly believe that at the very least there should be a robust selection of heirloom tomatoes in the summertime. The Wisonsin cheese selection has a bit to go but is adequate.
3. Kitchen. That flourless chocolate cake is bonkers good. The dessert selection is meager. It'd be nice to see something new in that rotation other than chocolate cake, carrot cake and pie.
4. Price/sales. This has got to be the most talked about thing at every co-op meeting everywhere, forever. I don't even know where to start but I'll never get over the irony of community driven store whose prices can only feed the upper crust. I don't have answers and I understand the business and I love that the staff can make a living. That being said, I will never in my life be comfortable paying 5 dollars for eggs.
5. Membership. It's nice to buy into a club that would allow me a voice in the room and a vote in the box. As I do not aspire to be particularly active in those areas, I'm not sure what else the coop offers me. The member price and occasional dollars off my total are miniscule. Whatever. I don't seek pageantry, I don't feel anything inherently significant about my membership type.

I'm there 3 times a week. See you tomorrow.❤️”
