The president of Florence Eiseman, Frank Botto, introduced the childrens line to and was subsequently chosen by the Obama's to make their baby clothing gifts. Most beautiful children's clothing, ever. Great classics to casual. They wash up great! And last not only years but generations. Heirloom quality. Not just their designs, colors and really great materials, it's the wonderful extra touches they add to their pieces that make their clothing so precious.

I and a friend go to their sales for fabric. They had a few things we were each interested in. The people who work there are always helpful and friendly. The warehouse is always clean and well lit. It makes for a nice shopping trip.

The most beautiful clothes for girls. While I can't afford to pay full price, the factory sale is great. Sometimes limited sizes. Today it seemed like they had endless amounts of size 4, but almost no size 3 or 5 which is what I needed. Still love it. Staff is great, too.

The fact that the garments were out of my budget when my children were young, does not imply the garments are not worth every cent. The styles are classic. They will pass down from one generation to the next.
Luckily for me, fabrics are also available at most of the Florence Eiseman sales. I have been sewing with their fabrics for 3 decades. The fabrics wore better than anything I could purchase at the local fabric stores. AND... I did not have to wade through aisles of cinnamon scented pine cones and the serpentine aisle of czodskes to checkout.
Dresses I sewed for my daughter were handed down to her 4 younger cousins. Some have been returned for my granddaughter, ready to wear.
The people who attend and work at the sales are always polite and helpful. Last year I was offered carry out when I bought 60 yards of fabric for weaving. (And I took it)
We were down to one car on the day I attended the last sale. My husband picked me up at work, coming directly from his job. 'Ya gotta love a man who will walk through the aisles of the Florence Eiseman sale in metatarsal plated steel toed boots. After he found me he joined the other husbands waiting at the exit door, conversing with the shop manager.

Wasn't what I remember, more organized and the bag guy was really nice and helpful. Some of the items were still a little pricey for my budget but I did get some really good deals on some dresses. From past experience on the wear of the dresses that I have from 30 years ago they will last a long time. Money well spent. Thanks
