We loved everything about this place. From our amazing room that was very clean to being able to walk around the whole place and explore. It was Halloween weekend so we did a bit of ghost hunting. Enjoyed hanging out in the bar area with our own drinks(bar wasn't open when we where there). Fun staying in a piece of Milwaukee history. Thanks Dubbel Dutch. Def will stay again.

We came into town as a Octoberfest weekend getaway. The location was perfect, central to everything we wanted to do. The room was fantastic, large and clean!

Loved our stay at the Dubbel Dutch! The location was great, check in/out process was super simple, and the rooms were lovely and extremely comfortable. Will definitely stay again and will recommend Dubbel Dutch to any friends looking for a place to stay in MKE.

Dubbel Dutch is in great location within walking distance of the Art Museum, lakefront and places to eat or have a coffee or drink. I loved the building's high ceilings and its unique charm, and that it wasn't a hustling bustling kind of place. It was very clean with quality finishes and furnishings. It was also nice and quiet, except for the creaky stairs but thanks to little traffic, that was more comical than annoying. This is a very good value compared to other hotel and airbnb options I looked at. I would definitely stay here again.

We loved our experience at the Dubbel Dutch. It's in a great location in the city. It's hard to rate the service. You are sent a code for the room and instructions for parking. Our room was beautiful, clean and well stocked. We would love to stay again. Milwaukee is an amazing city.

It's an interesting model: staff-free, zero-contact hotel. Unfortunately, I found it a little depressing. I didn't know about the cafe, but maybe it was closed during my stay. While the room was adequate, the walls are paper-thin and my room had zero view and didn't have a desk or lounge chair (just a bed.) So, I never wanted to be in my room and I had nowhere to hang out in the hotel. The location is great - near the lake and right downtown.

Stayed here during our wedding weekend and absolutely loved it! The Taloosa suite was great for getting ready and everyone we worked with during the reservation process was extremely helpful!

We had an amazing stay here this week. The contactless check-in and code system worked nicely and was very well explained. Spacious and clean rooms with AC was a treat. 2 minuite walk from the lakefront, art museum and first class breakfast! (The Plaza) Would highly recommend if you're looking for a quaint, relaxing, and low key stay in MKE.

Nice location, cool building, but some things left to be desired. One of our two rooms was directly above the bar and it was very loud at night. Large gap under the door meant we heard everyone coming and going. When I asked to see if we could move rooms, the hotel would have charged a $45 relocation/cleaning fee, so we stuffed coats under the door gap and that helped. My mother's room on a separate floor had hair in the sink drain when we checked in. No daily housekeeping, felt like luxury pricing but a la carte experience.

Check out the fantastic history of this place. They have a great lounge, that is open to the public, with a nice selection of drinks and appetizers.

I stayed at the Dubbel Dutch for a solo staycation and it was the perfect spot. The hotel's precautions during the pandemic included: my room had a sign to indicate the last time it had been occupied and cleaned, all communication with the hotel staff was done via friendly text, and each room had its own dedicated air handling system so that germs didn't spread through a central air handling system. While the new hotel still wasn't quite finished--the restaurant/bar areas weren't up and running--it was still a thoughtful and enjoyable experience.

A fantastic find on a rainy day. Delicious pancakes of both sweet and savoury varieties with a lovely welcome for the whole family. Warmed plates meant that the pancakes stayed nicely toasty. Thank you!

I hate when I use the term "hidden gem" because with the advent of the internet nothing is truly hidden - but this place is special and I feel it doesn't get the attention it deserves. It is a quiet oasis in the city - within walking distance of many nice restaurants and watering holes. Bed was very comfortable. Room spacious. Feels like a B&B without actually being one. Will definitely be coming back for another quick "staycation".
