They were reasonably priced, quick, and did more than the minimum. They let me know about a bad alternator on the vehicle and fixed a small exhaust leak for me at no extra charge. Great work, and much appreciated. Everything is working great so far.

Paid $4,200 for rebuilt transmission on 2014 Honda CRV and car runs awful. Engine lights on and all screwed up. Ridiculous finance charges and poor customer service. Don't bother with this place!

DJ’s is GREAT!We were in town on a long road trip pulling a trailer. Our transmission gave out on our Van.We went to several transmission shops in the area but we were recommended to DJ’s b a local mechanic we trust. The guys at DJ’s are first rate. They didn’t have a replacement unit in the shelf. So, they rebuilt our transmission in 24 hours because they knew we were on a timeline. And they made sure the rebuilt transmission had all the latest updates for shifting and clutches. The transmission included a new torque converter and shift solenoid. My transmission was fried. They showed me the gears and parts. They even had to replace some of the hardened gears as those parts were literally welded together. They had the parts!I am a mechanic. I pulled the old transmission and put the rebuilt one from DJ’s back in using a friends garage. The new transmission has been working great. We drove at least 2,500 miles from Milwaukee back to Arizona pulling our motorcycle. The transmission shifts great and even runs at a slightly lower RPM (likely due to the updates) than before.DJ’s price was fair. And the service was astounding. They had it rebuilt in a day. And with over 2000 parts in an average transmission that was astounding. While no one wants this kind of expense. We were glad we found the team at DJ’s to get us back on the road. They got us a fully rebuilt transmission and gave solid advice for reinstalling it and the calibration necessary to get the unit into “learn mode” for proper shifting.Shop around. But I I would recommend these guys to anyone needing transmission work. They know what they are doing and have the parts and experience to fix your ride.

NOT AS GOOD AS IT SOUNDS ON THE HOGMade a phone call about 3 weeks ago. the call was very prompt and promising. I was in need of diagnostic service on my transmission and was instructed to just drop it off. Living about 45 minutes north of DJs we decide to take the trip down. upon arrival the parking lot was STUFFED. In the office there was no representative, wile looking around the office the employee was in the parking lot asking my drop off vehicle "why he was there" after this was sorted they told me they would take a look at it the following day (Wednesday) vehicle sat there for days. after 2 phone calls without any follow up or solid idea when they would get to it. Needing my truck and living so far away I made the decision to go and pick my truck back up. upon arrival my second time my truck was stuffed in the very far corner and took nearly half hour to retrieve as it was IN front of non running vehicles that needed to be moved. were they ever going to work on? NOT a good option if u don't have lots of gas, time and money to spend!Service: Transmission

I took my car in on Monday for bad torque convertor. They installed a rebuilt transmission in two days and I got the call that it was ready. I saw they test drove it 10 miles after installing transmission. I drove it 1 mile down the road and check engine light came on so I turned around and brought it back. They said it was something in the transmission and it needed to be replaced again. They ended up rebuilding my original transmission. I got the call on Friday that it was ready. I gave them $4,000 got in the car and started it up and to my surprise the exhaust was very loud. I looked under the car and they must have broke off the top bolts on both sides on my exhaust before it goes into the muffler and replaced it with standard bolt and nut, where there needs to be a spring to allow for thermal expansion. it bent the exhaust flange because they tightened the bolt down way to much which caused an exhaust leak, I did not tell them to preform that service nor was I notified that they were going to replace with improper hardware. The transmission was not driving smooth and was surging very bad when accelerating and maintaining speed. I brought it back at the 200 mile check in and they took it for a test drive and said everything looked good. That seemed strange that a transmission shop wouldn't know what a bad transmission felt like. I took it to two other shops and they confirmed that something was not right with it. I found out that they overfilled the transmission fluid by 2 quarts, which the other two shops reported is very bad for the transmission as I had driven 1900 miles on it at that point. I drained the 2 quarts myself and the surging has gone down significantly. I hope there is no prolonged damage. DJ's had two opportunities to check the dipstick for oil level and they did not, I called and told them what happened and they did not seem concerned nor offered to check and make sure everything was okay, sounded like he just wanted me off the phone.I would not recommend them for transmission repair, they clearly cannot read a dipstick and have no follow through when something goes wrong or a customer is not happy with the service they received.Services: Transmission

It's, I've had to take my vehicle here more than 5 times since they so called replaced my transmission. I don't advise anyone to come here. I've repeatedly asked about the loudness from the transmission , but was disregarded and they turned to blame it on other parts of the car! This place is a complete RIp off And known for petty patch work. My vehicle has went down hill, since letting them service my car. RUN before taking your vehicle here!!!! You will do better off.
