Took a serger in for repair I knew had issues and had been repaired elsewhere. Other repair shop told me couldn’t repair it back to where it was. This place had it for 7 weeks (called three times, no reply). He did fix it the day he realized it had been a long time. I paid for repair - however it’s not fixed. Worse than when I took it in. I get it if you can’t repair it. But please don’t tell me it’s fixed. It’s not. More time needs to be spent with it running it longer. I think so much time had passed, he didn’t even know what the issue was when it was looked at.

I recently took my vintage White sewing machine in for a tune up. The machine was my mom’s and is precious - but hadn’t been used in many years. The owner cleaned it and made some minor repairs and now my beautiful old machine sews amazing and purrs like a kitten. Thank you ?

I have a WHITE brand sewing machine that needed the tension fixed, I decided to take it to this particular shop because I saw such good reviews on here. I ended up dropping my machine off & he told me, before even inspecting it or knowing for sure what was wrong, that it was going to be a fee of $69+& he'd call me within 10 days, IF I didn't hear from him by then I should call him.Well, by the next day, I called & left a message telling him I'd just be picking the machine up, due to just getting a new machine, so I wouldn't even need to have that one serviced, at the moment. When I went to get my "WHITE" brand machine, I walked in the door & he had a machine waiting by the door for me. It was DEFINITELY not mine, it was a whole different brand, different color, AND THE MACHINE WAS MISSING HALF THE PARTS! I WAS COMPLETELY TAKEN A BACK & SAID "THIS ISN'T MY MACHINE!" He was really quite rude & kept telling me that it IS MY machine!I can't say IF this was an honest mistake due to him having many machines he had to work on when I dropped mine off or what... He did write a work order with my name & number & taped it to the side of my machine, when I dropped it off, but I didn't get a copy of anything to take with me. Trusting that's how it works I didn't even question why I don't get any paperwork. Which now looking back at the situation THAT WAS MY OWN FAULT!Long story short, after I kept insisting that the one he had waiting for me was definitely not mine, he finally asked me what my name was, again... then grabbed my machine off a different shelf (MY ACTUAL MACHINE, THE ONE I DID BRING IN) & with a thud, he said "that it?"... I said yes, grabbed it & said YES THAT'S IT! THANK YOU!!! And I walked out just completely stunned at what had just happened! With all the great reviews, I read about this shop on here, I'd of never thought this would have happened.I'm sure he DOES DO GREAT WORK, he has to, to have been in business for so long but as far as being personable or I should say just apologizing for a mix up that wasn't my fault, instead of ever so rudely acting as if I didn't know my own machine...As I said I was just totally shocked by the whole situation! So now if I do ever have to take my new machine in or when I do go get the tension fixed I will definitely think twice before taking it here.Best advice I can give is ... ASK FOR THE COPY OF THE WORK ORDER & PROBABLY IS A GOOD IDEA TO TAKE A PIC OF YOUR MACHINE WHEN YOU DROP OFF. I can only think in his defense, maybe this mix up happened because he did have a lot of machines sitting there. Not sure if all of them needed work or what exactly his system is.What I do wonder is if this kind of mix up happened after only 24 hours, I HATE TO SEE what kind of mix up might have happened if my machine was there for 10 days, like it was originally supposed to be.

I've taken my sewing machines here for years. He (sorry, I've forgotten his name) really knows his stuff. He gave me great advice about my machine and his prices are very reasonable.

Amazing place. For a very reasonable price my machine was repaired in just the amount of time they told me it would take. I highly recommend them if you’re having issues with your machine or just want to come and get a tune up. 12/10 will be back for future needs.
