So happy to finally get here and have the famous fish fry. It did not disappoint. The Icelandic Fish was so moist and flakey. The Atlantic cod had a wonderfully flavorful coating. Both were fried perfectly. The Serbian beer and wine complemented it all but the best part of our meal was our server Milica. She was so sweet and answered all of our questions with amazingly accurate detail. What a great Milwaukee meal.

Went to the Friday Fish Fry. The lake perch was some of the best I've ever had. Perch is a delicate, mild fish and all too often, the coating overwhelms the fish. These 8 pieces of fish were perfectly done. Dinner comes with rye bread, a choice of French fries, mashed potatoes, or California vegetables. It also comes with some very tasty Cole slaw. It was the vinegar based type, not the creamy version. But it wasn't overly vinegar-y that is often the caseThere were a number of menu choices both Fried and baked fish, Serbian style, shrimp, Lake perch, and broasted chicken. All meals seemed to be in the $15-23 range. The perch was $22.95.

We had our wedding here this past weekend and we could not have picked a better place to have our wedding reception. Everything was amazing from the staff, food, drinks, cocktail hour, cleanliness, etc. We had family sharing style which included fish, beef, pasta, potatoes, chicken, salad & many, many desserts. Everything was incredible and I have received lots of feedback from our guests saying everything was great. The hall held over 500+ guests & food was delivered right on time and still HOT! We had an amazing charcuterie table for cocktail hour that was a hit! This beautiful, newly renovated space truly is the perfect spot for couples to celebrate their wedding. Thank you American Serb Hall for hosting our beautiful evening & thank you for all of those who helped make this happen!

Wow! We had our son’s wedding there this past weekend! The staff worked hard to take care of everything for us. They were helpful and efficient. The food was delicious. My phone has been getting text messages and calls from our wedding guests telling us how wonderful the food and service was. This is going to be the best place for young couples too no A brand new beautifully remodeled hall. Stunning and spacious venue. We even had a cocktail hour which had a charcuterie board filled with food and displayed in such a unique way. Thank you to all the people who helped us in anyway.

It’s as though they never skipped a beat after nearly closing doors for good. The Serb Hall is back!! The fish is delicious and flakey, the mashed potatoes have great flavor that require no gravy, and their one-of-a-kind coleslaw is tangy and crunchy, and remains unmatched. And of course , a full-service bar! You must go back and/or try this Milwaukee Fish Fry gem!! Like me, you’ll want to keep coming back!!

We held a memorial service for my dear Mother at Serb Hall in May of 2023. I can't say enough about how fantastic the experience was. Working with the staff while making the arrangements for the event, was a smooth process. The food was delicious, special mention about the fried chicken and the tenderloin tips. Absolutely delicious! I was lucky enough to get a tour of the renovations being done in the building. Wow!! It looks so great!! So clean and the new furnishings are eye catching and inviting. I will certainly look to Serb Hall for holding my next event.

Good fish fry! Fries were golden brown. Fish, although slightly smaller than other fish fry joints, had perfect breading, better than other fish fry joints, and perfectly golden brown. They know how to fry stuff. The coleslaw was just shredded cabbage in vinegar. That might just be the Serbian style. Delightful staff. A bit loud as its in a large banquet hall but that's part of the experience. If that bothers you get a table by the edge or get an order to go.

Serbian cod is excellent, the way it was made years ago. Great food and drinks. Clean and friendly..quick service. Our favorite fish fry to go to.

Absolutely Horrible!I just stopped here yesterday and spent over $30 on two Cod fried fish dinners, and they were both STALE! The food was left sitting out all day maybe even longer. I’m so shocked and extremely disappointed that I paying money for food that was so terrible, the fish was hard as a rock and the fries weren’t any better, We had to throw the food away, and what I did eat I got sick from!I truly cannot believe a place would serve stale food, I cannot make this up, I need my money back.BE very CAREFUL before purchasing food here!!

It's back! I always wanted to try this place before they closed. Fish and a side for $17.If they added house made coleslaw and freshly baked rye bread with a crispy crust (not that generic thin stuff) it would be a knock out.The breading was crispy and the Cod was flakey and hot.

Serb Hall has been closed and reopened last month. As a kid I remember my dad and I coming to Serb Hall for fish fry. That was over 30 years ago. This Friday dad and I decided we wanted to be nostalgic and return to see if the fish at Serb Hall is as good today as it was in the past. The hall hasn't changed since I was a kid. The service was extremely friendly, prompt and accommodating. A simple but interesting menu for fish fry that includes baked or fried cod, the "Classic Serb Hall" icelandic fish fry and the specialty Serbian fish. Dad had the fried cod, I had the classic and we ordered a side of Serbian to share. Each meal comes with a choice of fries or mashed potatoes, coleslaw and rye bread. My pieces of fish in the classic were 2 inches thick and incredibly flakey. The Classic is a cornmeal breading that was crunchy and light. Dad had the fried cod that had a battered coating and was large and flakey as well. The mashed potatoes were smooth, buttery and flavorful. The vinegar based slaw was the only part of the meal that dad and I both were slightly disappointed in. He said it wasn't as good as he remembered and I like a creamy slaw. Overall the meal was as good as Dad and I remembered. The fish at Serb Hall has won many awards in Milwaukee history and I can speak from experience that the taste lived up to the hype. Thank you to all who we encountered Friday night. We had a wonderful time!

Extremely limited menu (i.e. only Cod for entree). Although the Cod was tasty it would have been nice to have had other choices.
