I called spoke with Mike on the phone about getting an estimate or diagnosis. Found out the diagnosis is free, which was awesome. Bought the vehicle last year for an extre winter car. After a month I was going to sell it for parts of junk it, because my transmission was slipping. I didn't have enough money to replace the transmission. Thankfully, they found the problem was the speed output sensor for the transmission. I had them do the work to replace the sensor which saved me from most likely having to junk the vehicle. I really appreciate the customer service, reasonable price and the great work that they did. If you need any work done on your transmission or any work related to that. Be sure and give them a call you will be 100% happy you did I know I am.... Thanks guys for the great work.

First off would like to say thank you so much for your guises service I highly recommend their service absolutely hands-down the best customer service the best work thank you for fixing my car. Truly do appreciate it now. I can say that I know a guy it’s you guys thank you. Best transmission shop in the area.

Had work done on a 15+ year old pontiac in late June into early July.
Of the 8+ shops I called, not only were they the only ones who could get me in before mid August, they also gave me the cheapest quote and shortest amount of time estimate of even being in the shop itself.
Over the phone they were pleasant to talk to, answering all my questions and stayed super professional.
The gentleman behind the counter when I picked up my car even apologized for taking "too long" which Absolutely they were not long at all, actually finishing the work faster than original told.
An additional thing I appreciate was that when my car was left outside over the weekend before I could pick it up was they put a "club" on the wheel for security.
Much appreciated thank you for the quick work and friendly/professional staff.

I was having problems with the car's steering wheel shaking and my car had trouble accelerating. I took it to a repair shop and they said that I needed new tires. I had them replace my tires. A few days later I was having the same problem. Called A & A because I was told by others that it could be the transmission. I took it in and they told me they would look at it. When they called me back, I was told that it was my brakes. They were very busy with transmissions and could not get me in. I went to pick up the car and was told that I owed nothing.
There aren't very many places that will look at your vehicle for free.

Not professional at all they keep accepting work told the client 2 or 3 days just to keep the car park outside and when u call they don’t even know when exactly they’re gonna work on ur car horrible service i wont bother take any car to them ?

We were on a road trip to WI, and our transmission burned out. We went to several different transmission shops for quotes including A&A downtown (same shop different owners).The guys at A&A South were fantastic. And far more reasonable on their pricing for the same work.I am a mechanic and I had removed the transmission and brought it there for A&A South to look at. They provided honest and solid advice.I was impressed with their knowledge and pricing.Unfortunately for us, they have a great customer following and they were 2 weeks out to get to our transmission. I loved their honesty and loyalty to their customer.While they wanted to do our transmission they were unwilling to delay work on other customers to do so. That is the right approach to ensuring their customers get serviced.We ended up at DJ’s transmissions (who were also fantastic). You can see our review of them on google.But, I wanted to give a shout out to A&A South for their honesty and high integrity. That is refreshing to see in the auto repair business.We all have our horror stories on car repair. And I try to do as much as I can on my own.But it was refreshing to find a shop that dealt with us honestly and was really well priced vs the competition.Shop around if you need this kind of work. It’s gonna be expensive. The labor to pull and reinstall a transmission can take 8+ hours.But the guys at A&A South are really great. They know what they are doing and are honest about their work and fair on their prices.

was there with a friend who needed work done on their vehicle. at first the guy said it wasn't a transmission issue, then when my friend reiterated the issues that he told them on the phone before he brought it in, the guy said maybe it was starting to go bad and a new transmission was around 3k. my friend left the vehicle there so they could do more diagnostics (which I have to give them kudos for because it was free) and they determined the transmission was shot and for a rebuild it was going to be $3200. i’m not sure how we went from new to rebuild, and the rebuild was more than new. Needless to say, my friend will not be going back to this place to get the work done.
