The store is a smaller, adequate location of the chain. However, when checking out, the technology often does not recognize your phone number when you put it in for specials. Many employees act as though it is the customers fault, even though they see at time after time. I think there’s a leadership problem in the store since employees tend to be dismissive and rude, and they look like they’ve rolled out of bed without combing their hair or paying attention to what they wear. If you need a Walgreens and this is in your neighborhood, it’s a good store with everything you need, but be prepared to be treated poorly by some of the employees.

THIS PLACE IS COMMITTING INSURANCE FRAUD!!!! I have contacted insurance provider, state, and federal authorities about this so I'm not just yelling to yell, but figured I would save anymore people from getting screwed out of there medications including diabetics (a good friend of mine almost died).Don't go here as there's a good chance you won't get your medicine but they will push it through the insurance and if you need said medication to live they will happily take your cash as well as the money from the insurance!

A huge shout-out to Mike in Photo for going the extra mile to help get my photo margins to print correctly. It sounds like a simple issue, but it wasn't, and instead of giving up, Mike kept trying until he found a solution. This is a marketing piece for my business, so it was important to get it right. Earlier in the week, another Photo employee encouraged me to come in to the store to get this issue resolved, and he also was very helpful. I really appreciate this outstanding customer service!

Updating this review to thank Jen, the pharmacist, for taking the time to answer all my questions about an ongoing medical concern, OTC options and a new prescription. Her kindness, expertise and excellent customer service are greatly appreciated!2019: This review is for Angie, the Walgreens pharmacist, who went the extra mile for me today and provided outstanding customer service. She answered all of my questions about a medication, and then later called me to let me know my prescription was ready because she knew I needed it quickly for pain. Thank you Angie!

Just stopped in today and got followed around by an employee here. She didn’t ask me if I needed help with anything and made me feel very uncomfortable.

I've not shopped often at this location, but had an interview opportunity where I felt the staff went above and beyond.Joel, the store manager took me back to the waiting area after Andy, pharmacy tech, promptly answered my call at the pharmacy window.Sleekly designed like many other stores, this location was clean and efficient. Although I didn't receive the position I interviewed for, I wanted to give a shout-out of appreciation to the staff and a heads up on Yelp for those who are curious =)

This Walgreens is the absolute best one around the west side! The staff is all super helpful and nice. Don't listen to the other complaints about the pharmacy. There are a lot of regulations and procedures that they have to go through to get your prescription filled. Poor things have to deal with insurance companies EVERYDAY!! And I'm sure each one of the bad reviewers has had an unpleasant experience working with insurance companies at some point in their life; show some compassion. What you think is a simple fill of a prescription, actually takes a good deal of work behind the scenes - trust me, I used to think the same way. The rest of the store is neat and clean and filled with product. Kuddos to this staff on showing up to work (unlike other stores in the area randomly closing due to staffing issues).

Young ladies who was suppose to to be the manager had a very bad attitude when asked to price check something. Good customer service sell more products, if you don’t enjoy working with people quit and don’t spread your misery.

They have been very helpful with my medications and making sure I have what my doctor prescribed. Sometimes there will be a bunch of staff walking around inside when Im in the drive-through and it will take a bit to get someone to help me. Other times they are very quick just depends on the day and what time you go.

Constant frustrating experiences with pharmacy technicians. Latest was saying they couldn’t take my insurance information because I didn’t have the right number. Finally I gave up, walked outside, called a different Walgreens and asked to speak to a pharmacist, who immediately processed my insurance and said she didn’t understand why the other tech wouldn’t have been able to. I then went back to that pharmacy tech who then said my prescription had been canceled (even though I saw her holding the bag 20 minutes prior) and that I’d have to wait for them to fill it. It seems like staff consistently needs more training, and a simple apology would have gone a long way for making what should have been a routine 5 minute pick up into an 90 minute ordeal. I stayed calm and polite during the entire process but it was quite frustrating, and the tech didn’t seem to care at all that I had to keep coming back.

My doctor called in a prescription of two drugs. They told me that they got one of the prescriptions and not the other. I called the doctor and he assured me that he placed the order. I called again to find them all on lunch. I called again and the technician turned me over to the pharmacist. She explained that they did get it and they were not going to fill it because she did not like the prescription. This store lied to me that they had not received it, when they had. Then they overruled the doctors choice for my best treatment. They wasted hours of my time and my doctors. Do not waste your time on a pharmacy that acts like a doctor.

Absolute worse Walgreens pharmacy location in Madison. I can't tell you how many times I have stood here for 10 mins when there is no one in line with two staff staring at me waiting to be served. Then if you have to talk to the pharmacist they will be standing 3 ft away and just make you wait there for another 7 mins all the while being fully staffed. Save yourself the hassle and go to the one on mineral point.
