Absolutely horrible parking! Whoever designed this building and parking lot must have been inspired by a game of Tetris on expert mode. Most of the time, it’s a one-person show inside, with occasional appearances by a second employee for a thrilling duet. The line? It’s like waiting for concert tickets, minus the excitement.
The lobby isn’t open 24 hours, unlike other post offices. Apparently, it has a strict bedtime. The Wisconsin government is all about diversity, but when it comes to this post office, they don’t care if the parking lot is the size of a postage stamp or that the nearby two-way cross street is basically a non-stop game of Frogger.
They’ve designated about five spaces for handicapped parking, leaving the rest of us with a luxurious total of eight spots. The building itself looks like it was a hot spot in the 1930s, and clearly, Madison’s mayor couldn’t give a stamp about it.

Post office employees have absolutely no sense of urgency. Plan to be in line for at least 30 minutes as they spend at least 10 minutes on each person.

Dropped off a package and it was never sent. Tried to call and it just rings and rings. Tried multiple times. Horrible service

1 star. Almost every teller at the counter is grumpy and treats customers as if they are a pain to deal with. No smiles. And if you have a question, they act annoyed that they have to answer. It's unfortunate because Middleton is such a small, quaint town. I enjoy going to the other post offices in the area much more.Edit: Now 4 stars. Three years later, the staff is much better!

The wait here is always insane, I've never seen it less than 10 people long. It would help if they had a better system for dropping off pre-labeled packages but then I worry when those packages actually ship. I had to get a QR code scanned to mail something back to a vendor and waited in line so I could get a receipt for everything I dropped off that day. That was a week ago -- I just got an email from the vendor indicating the package was shipped by USPS back to them today. So it's been sitting there for a week... good thing I got a receipt because if it doesn't get back in time it's clear it wasn't my fault.

I had to wait 20minutes to talk to the supervisor for a simple question. I said “thanks for making me wait 20 minutes for that.” The supervisor replied “Not a problem”Are you kidding me? “NOT A PROBLEM” ? Switching to UPS because rates are basically the same now.

Clueless/useless employees. I was left a piece of paper for my package so that i can have it redelivered OR a customer pick up. So I did a customer pick up online for that day so i can pick it up at the post office. I went to the post office and turns out they don't do pickups? Like, seriously. What do you mean you don't do pickups? It clearly says it online that i can do pickups. Showed them an email of confirmation too and still told me they dont do it. No wonder why there's a high turnover rate. Do better.

The automated services suck big time. Took 7 minutes of repeatedly sayin customer care to be connected to their so called agent only for another automated message saying they close at 3:30 pm. It's 1:50pm on a Wednesday now.

My experience with the Middleton Post office and staff has been completely opposite of the negative reviews. People come into the post office when it is very busy and are not prepared to actually mail their package. I have watched over and over as the clerk patiently helps them get the right forms filled out. This is a very good post office and I am very happy we have it right her in Middleton

All I needed was to drop a package off a package that was already labeled. I asked the women behind the counter where to set it and she rudely told me to set it at the next counter. Then proceeded to tell me “ dont set it in front of my counter”. This was when the post office open and she hadn’t even helped customers yet, can only imagine how rude she will be as the day goes on.

Mailed an envelope with a usb in it and when it never got to its destination I went back to check on it and they said it was destroyed in the letter sorter and they threw it away... I wasn't notified and never would have known if I didn't go back

I have never gone to this location at any time through out the week without waiting in line for at least 20 mins. There are multiple employees and only ever 1 or 2 clerks running the front counter when there are 4 terminals. Every time there will be another clerk up front just standing there ignoring the lines and doing nothing to help. There are PILES of dropped off packages on the counters because people don't want to stand and wait that long for a clerk. I can clearly see people sitting in the back doing absolutely nothing. Staff your front counters people.

I live 10 min away from this USPS. An important package I had been tracking arrived on time at this location to be sorted and delivered to me - again, I live 10 min away. However, this USPS made a sorting error and sent my package back to Indiana lololol. Basic stuff folks. Consequently, my package is now delayed over a week
