“So I show up early on Superbowl Sunday at Metro Market. I try to use a raincheck for some soda and the nice lady watching the self-checkout points out that my raincheck is from Hy-Vee not Metro Market. Oops! It's OK because the soda is on sale anyway provided that I enter the phone number linked to the Pick 'n Save Advantage Card I got from Chairman Bob far before the turn of the millennium. :) Also, I get these nice Kroger coupons in the mail once and a while. This one coupon says free Energizer batteries 2 pack or 4 pack. It doesn't say which type of battery so of course I choose the most expensive batteries. These four AAA batteries would have been $16.49! The nice lady is amazed and showing due diligence, even holds the coupon up to the light to make sure it is legit. We're talking big bucks here. After no hassle I got them free. I also had a free mayo coupon, so my total savings was $24.82 on a $7.00 receipt. How can four AAA batteries cost $16.49 anyway? My new goal in life is to outlive the 20-year shelf life of these batteries. ? Love you Kroger.”

“I ordered a sheet cake from Metcalfe's for my mom's 90th birthday celebration and it was fantastic. The cake was moist and the frosting to cake ratio was spot on, not too much or too little. The decorating was beautiful. Definitely will order all my cakes from Metcalfe's in the future.”

“I have had a lot great experiences and good customer service at this grocery store. This store has a large selection and variety of items. I like how this store has a lot of grab-and-go items. This grocery store lacks a meat counter.”

“I love Festival Foods! It's got almost anything you want for weekly groceries- might want to look elsewhere for ethnic selections, however. The store hours are great because I can stop in almost anytime I want.”

“So happy to have this store open! I have been to the Sun Prairie location, and this (in the empty spot of the old Whole Foods) is a great addition to the central part of Madison. While it does headline 'International Foods' there are also many domestic brands, and produce. I think it might also have the best Gluten Free selection of food in town I have seen as well. The staff at checkout mentioned that hot foods like gyros will be coming soon too.”

“Nice place to stop...
Very relaxed grocery store. Restaurants and a cooking class upstairs! The islands and greenery were soothing. I was assisted by very warm energy when i was unfamiliar with a process at self checkout. Hadn't eaten since early morning and was ready to scarff big time. The staff at the asian counter was very cold to me though- rolled his eyes and everything, acted like he didn't hear or see me even though we made eye contact as i approached. i hurriedly ordered- it was both of our displeasure at that time. food is ok. maybe it would have tasted better if he hadn't been so customer adept with the one before.
I will return- just stay away from that counter......”

“I was able to purchase all the items I had on my list. The sale items were a definite plus & there were some items I use on a regular basis that I van only find at HyVee.”
