Was recommended this hotel by a friend so I decided to stay, everything was fine except checkout. I was told checkout was at 12 (afternoon) but yet housekeeping was knocking on my door at 10:50am Despite having my privacy please posted, they went away then returned at 11:57am again knocking at the door to get me to leave. I left out my room exactly at 12:00 and as I was walking towards the elevator at 12:02 pm I passed management walking towards my room. So if you stay here don't expect to rest up until checkout. Be ready to leave around 10:30am. Everything else was fine. I wouldn't personally pay to stay here with my own money again, but if my room was paid for by my work company then yes. I'll rate this a 3/5.

Staff are on top of it, clean rooms with all the things you need for an extended stay or large family. Breakfast and happy hour included. The location in the center is Middleton is excellent as the town has a lot to offer and it's a quick, direct ride into Madison if needed
Walkability: Located in the heart of downtown historic Middleton. There are several restaurants and bars, parks, shops and things to do nearby. Very walkable.

Little staff, the hotel was somewhat neglected, the location for me was very good, the hotel was under renovation throughout our stay, 7 weeks and we were never able to use the dining room, at the beginning there was an error in the reservation due to lack of rooms but a week later it was they corrected.

No elevator for four nights--placed on the third floor with cerebral palsy. No apology, no refund, no management on site or available by phone or email. Air conditioning was broken on 90+ degree day. No wifi for three nights. Vet before booking here.
Safety: Elevator broken with no plans to fix while we stayed. We were told in the event of a fire, DO NOT PULL THE FIRE ALARM.

We've stayed here 3 or 4 times before, but this visit was bad. The location is great. Got there, checked in and then were told the elevator was out. Asked for a first floor room, desk said no, didn't even look. Not great for my partner who has a consultation for hip replacement in two days. Rust stain in toilet bowl, office chair very worn, eggs and other breakfast items cold. Everything just felt shabby. Carpet on the steps (we were forced to use) was stained. Not sure what we'll do next time since the location's good, short walk to several nice restaurants. Mgt/Owners just don't care.

Ripped sheets, powdered egg scrambled egg, water damage on walls, toilet clogs easily.
Messed up reservation, indian guy kept saying it was free upgrade from two bed to single bed but did not ask to change it ever. broken elevator, phone does not work and was told it was broken due to lightning ? avoid at all costs if you value your mental sanity and cleanliness.
Rooms: dirty, damages, ripped sheets

My family and I stayed here for one night while passing through the area and we were deeply, deeply disappointed. Our room was nowhere near the standard we have come to expect from Staybridge Suites, which until this visit, was one of our favorite places to stay.
After a long, rough day of travel there was nothing I wanted more than to use a clean restroom and relax. Well, imagine my surprise when we tried to enter our room after check-in…and we couldn’t get into our room. The keycards were not working. We went to the nice person at the front desk and were upgraded to a suite on a higher floor for the inconvenience. This was greatly appreciated…until I hurried upstairs and went to use the bathroom. Imagine the shock and horror when I lifted the lid of the toilet seat to find yellow, sticky, bubbling plastic all over the toilet seat. I nearly cried because there was no way I could use this toilet without cleaning it first and I had been holding it all darn day!
If we hadn’t already had to get a new room, we would have asked for a different one. At this point we were exhausted and just wanted to set our stuff down and be done for the day. I got out my Clorox wipes and then hovered as far from the seat as I could.
The rest of the room was equally disgusting. The fridge was covered in brown grime, there were greasy handprints on the bed frame, the towels and washcloths were disgusting and stained. I skipped my shower in the morning because I was so uncomfortable in the grimy bathroom. The only redeeming things about this room were that it was dog friendly and that we had only booked it for a single night.
Beyond the filthy room, we had an even further horrible experience when we tried to take our dog out and got locked outside in a torrential downpour. It began to drizzle as we walked to the backside of the hotel (where the dog area is located) so we rushed to door…and our keycards didn’t work. The storm picked up as we rushed to the door at the other end of the building…and again, our keycard didn’t work. We tried repeatedly with multiple different cards, different ways, and nothing. By this point, it had started to thunder and lightning in addition to the downpour and we had to walk all the way around to the front of the building (further than it sounds) and go in the door next to the busy lobby while dripping wet with our sopping wet dog. What an absolute DEBACLE that could have been avoided had the doors/keypads worked appropriately or had we been alerted that the doors were out of order. We were dry at the first door, wet at the second, and soaked to the bone by the third door.
When we finally got back to our room, I had to use a personal beach towel to dry myself and my dog because I was horrified at the brown (originally white) towels in the disgusting bathroom.
This place is absolutely out of their minds charging hundreds of dollars a night for outdated, filthy rooms.
I would not stay here again if it was free, and now I’m skeptical of future Staybridge Suites after having loved them in the past.
