Bad customer service. Asked if they carried a specific brand of shoe, was just told "yes." No follow up. I went to explore the shoes. The entire time there, no one came to ask if I was looking for anything specific or try on. Yet, when another couple walked in, they quickly asked them what they were looking for. Spend your money somewhere else.

Richard is the man. I came in with a bike needing attention before my big race. He was great at understanding what my situation and explaining my options in a way that made sense for my goals. We came up with a great solution and he got me up and running the same day.

Had several great experiences at this shop recently. When the bike was acting up I brought it in and the staff went the extra mile to make sure I could do my planned ride the next day. When purchasing shoes, they took their time so that I got the best fit. Craig, the bike fitter out of the shop, has me 100% dialed in. Definitely an asset to west Madison/Middleton area.

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff with lots of experience. I come here for pretty much everything I needed to complete my first triathlon. Lots of great bikes available as well.

After a ten year break from participating in Tri's I am now in the market for new gear, specifically a top end Bicycle. Technology has changed significantly in the last ten years such as disc brakes and electronic shifting. I assumed that a Tri specific store would be the logical place to get educated. I went to PlayTri in Middleton and asked the associate working if he could educate me on the differences and benefits of different group sets such as Shimano 105, dura ace, and Ultegra. His response was he could not do that. HMMMMMM. I tried to explain my history and what I was specifically looking for....he appeared dumbfounded and stated someone else would need to help me. At this point another customer entered the store and I told the associate to go ahead and help them and I would look at other products in the store. I flat out told him if you can not sell me a bike at the very least I will buy a pair of cycle shoes today. So he did attend to other customers.....neither of which purchased anything...and when he got back to acknowledging my presence stated he had some other projects to work on. (Merchandising). Needless to say I walked out extremely frustrated with the incompetence and went to a different local bike shop where the service was what it should be and bought my new cycle shoes. I am still going to buy a brand new top end Tri bike but not from here. The online only retailers such as Canyon or Quintana Roo appear to be the best option at the moment.

We had a fantastic experience with Richard at PlayTri! We came in to look at Lake cycling shoes. Richard was extremely knowledgeable and spent over 30 minutes with us. The store has a good selection of models and sizes, including wide widths. I can’t praise Richard highly enough - thank you so much for your time, expertise, and kindness. Truly one of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had.

Just had a bike fit yesterday with the team at PlayTri, and I could not be happier with how the fit went and the result! I had all of my serious fit issues fixed with my triathlon bike, and they armed me with the knowledge for why each adjustment or new component was needed and what could be adjusted more down the road. The whole store staff was helping which made me feel like I was getting all the best input. The price tag was incredible for how much work and time I spent. I couldn't recommend this store and staff enough & I will definitely be going back there for all my triathlon needs!

I purchased a bike here with a great service. But the bike pedal falls off in another state. I called this store. Everyone was trying to assist and they even contacted a store in current state for me to get fixed locally. It is beyond my expectations. I appreciate your exceptional service. Thank you!

Shout out to Red from PlayTri who came over to the Ironman WI Bike Course with a box of tubes for me and several riders who had popped tires (both front and back for me) on the railroad tracks. Most of us had already used our spares. The support of PlayTri made a world of difference for many to finish the race. Thanks for being there Red!

Great experience! I purchased my first real road bike and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I had the bike transferred from their Dallas location and The staff was awesome! I worked predominately with Richard and he was excellent. The whole staff is Friendly, knowledgeable, and showed great patience with me. I spent quite a bit of time there picking up and getting fitted with my bike. Richard and staff answered all of my questions and I left knowing I will always check with playTri in Middleton first, before I buy anything bike related. I would highly recommend checking with them first for all of your bike needs!
