This Hotel is new, beautiful, clean. Really love it.
They have a huge pool area with whirlpool and a kids area.
Room immaculate, comfy.
Front desk staff so friendly, we actually needed to add an extra night and he did it in about 30 seconds over the phone. Amazing

Now a 2 star hotel in terms of amenities though it has been refurbished and looks nice. Skimpy on room coffee (for one only). Bath towels were pool towel quality and were thin and rough. Very little clearance between bed and wall so second person had to be thin. Mattress sunk in the middle. Internet access was restricted to one guest, so only one of us had Internet access! On the plus side, it was clean. We did not use the Bistro because there are some good restaurants nearby. The location was great for our purposes but no more stays here!

They did a real nice job renovating this place. Everything looks fresh & clean. My reason for the 3 star on the room is the tub drain in our room (302) was terrible. I take quick showers. However, by the time I was finished, the water was up to my ankles.

Booked a 3 person room. Only had 2 towels to shower. Ate at the restaurant. Really expensive. No kids options. Ordered a croissant sandwich. Had one egg, one piece of ham. $10. Was really thin. Was the cheapest option. The pool was really cold. Couldn't go in it. Clean place though.
Rooms: Rooms were nice.

We had a good stay. The only problem was that we chose the hotel for our kids to enjoy the pool on our visit to Madison and the pool temperature was very cold. The hot tub was out of service (which we didn’t mind about) but the pool temperature was in the low 70s and it felt very cold. We didn’t ask for any accommodations to be made for us but I’m sure there was something we could have asked for because there was virtually no one in the pool area when our kids enjoyed the minimal play time they did in the shallow end of the pool. That was very disappointing. Overall we had fun though and everything else went well. We enjoyed the (non-complimentary) breakfast too!

First, the good! This is a newly built hotel in a great location. The front desk and housekeeping service was generally excellent (more on why I gave that category only 4 stars below). And one standout wonderful thing about the hotel is the breakfast. You have to pay a la carte for everything, but they have great espresso drinks, nuanced food items (avocado toast with sun-dried tomato and arugula and honey drizzle!), and the prices are reasonable. We overall had a great stay there!
The two downsides of the hotel were: 1) The walls are thin. There were louder guests next to our room and we could hear almost all of their conversation. Thankfully, when I went and knocked on their door, they kept it down. But still, we could hear a LOT! 2) The hot tub was out of service when we were there and the pool, while technically operational, was also "broken" in the sense that the heater was malfunctioning and it was 12 whole degrees colder than it should be (according to the front desk staff). The staff were incredibly gracious and proactive in trying to fix the problem, and we were offered an alternative at check in (to go across the highway to use the Residence Inn pool and hot tub). So there is nothing I wish had been done differently. But still, this was extremely disappointing because I shopped around for a kid-friendly pool setup for our 5-year-old daughter, and there were a LOT of other hotels in the area with compelling pools, and then I chose the ONE place where the pool actually was not usable!
Nearby activities: The National Mustard Museum (free! with a tasting bar!) is absolutely worth a visit!

Drove wayyyyyyyy out of the way because it looked like the splash pool could be a fun area for the kids to enjoy New Years, but it's closed for maintenance and didn't say it online. Great ending to a 6 hour drive. Could have been at Wisconsin dells.

I can't say enough about our stay this past weekend. At first we were disappointed that the hot tub was out of order, but the staff went above and beyond to provide us with other solutions. First, they called other motels in the area to see if they had any rooms available, which were not quite what we were looking for. We decided to stay put, so the front desk clerk provided us with free vouchers for the Bistro (which was delicious), and located another hotel a short drive away, where we were welcome to use their hot tub! They also discounted our room for the inconvenience. Problem solved, and we were very satisfied with the result! The room was spotless, and the nicest stay we have ever had! Thank you - we'll definitely be back!

A little pricey, but worth it
Noteworthy details: The pool area is perfect for parents and children

It’s a bit annoying you can get a better price as sites like Hotwire instead of booking directly as a loyal Marriott member. A better price so much so that it was worth foregoing the direct loyalty benefits. Great place for a family to stay though with the pool indoors.
