Food is fresh and pretty OK! For a deli experience, it is quite cozy and pleasant. In terms of bang for your buck, it was definitely on the slightly pricy side (though this is likely because kosher food is just more expensive to supply). 4 stars vs 5 simply because it was decent, but not noteworthy. I had a pretty forgettable sandwich, but the side of potato's was nice. The host seems to unfortunately rub people the wrong way sometimes, however. She asked me how my food was and made things a bigger deal than needed when I said it was just OK. She seemed to take offense rather than ask how it could be better. Just a bit strange and off-putting.

Really lovely kosher deli with great food and gluten free options. Situated within the Peltz Center it's a bit hidden and the seating area is cozy. But they offer online order for pickup that offsets any lack of seating or lunch rush. Worth a stop!

CUTE DELI ANHD GIFT STORE The owner was delightful and friendly. One sandwich which had almost everything on it was delicious. My turkey sandwich was tasty but I was disappointed that there wasn't more turkey on it. All in all very good, we will return!

AMAZING STORE! However a certain bracelet I purchased was cheap and poorly made. I expected more from a store like this.

I found the experience lacking in all categories. The food was mediocre at best. I ordered Matzah ball soup and garlic knots. The bread was badly charred and barely edible. I thought it was going to be warm and it wasn't so I was disappointed there too. The soup was cold and the matzah balls were fairly small considering the price. All in all, I realize the novelty is this is a kosher establishment but I still want good food! I can't say that I'll go back but I wish them the best of luck. If you're into expensive novelties, this is the place for you or buy yourself a good cookbook in the adjacent gift shop and make the food at home!

This is a new little hidden gem in Mequon! Pros: Great menu options, nice employees, our sandwiches are very flavorful! Side options were great too, I enjoyed their potato salad. So much potential here and I hope they do well! Do yourself a favor and purchase a slice of the chocolate babka for after or the next morning - so so good!! Cons: bread was either dry or stale - kind of fell apart when eating. Perhaps the French roll option is better and I will try that next time. Also, menu says 6 ounces of freshly sliced meat. I didn't feel it was 6 ounces and definitely could have used more. Also - the prices were a little high ($35 for two sandwiches and 1 soda), but if they're corning and smoking their meats there, I have no problem paying for the work behind that. However, no mention of doing this in house. Would love to see this if they are. Lastly, there wasn't much of a vibe in the restaurant. No music or ambiance. It could have been more warm and welcoming with some music on. Overall, will definitely go back. The staff was very nice and the sandwiches were great!

A friend recently told me about The Deli on Crown after he brought some chocolate babka to an event I was at. I decided to check it out as soon as I could. I ordered chicken matzah ball soup, a pastrami sandwich on french bread with extra pastrami, a slice of chocolate babka, and a can of Dr. Brown's Root Beer. The broth for the soup could have been a little more flavorful and I sadly only found a couple slices of carrot in it, but the large pieces of chicken in the soup were appreciated. I didn't dislike it, but I don't know if I'd get it again based on the price. With St. Patrick's Day right around the corner and plenty of opportunities to have corned beef, I decided to go with pastrami for my sandwich. I liked being given the option of french bread because I'm not a fan of rye and I'm glad I ordered the extra meat because 4 oz for the normal amount seems a little skimpy. Overall I liked the sandwich. The chocolate babka is to die for. It's like a loaf of bread crossed with a cinnamon roll, but instead of cinnamon layered throughout it's a chocolately fudge-like thing. Absolutely the best. I had Dr. Brown's Root Beer for the first time a little over a year ago and have been struggling since to find a place locally that specifically sells root beer from that brand, not just their other flavors. I've tried many different kinds of root beer in my life and this is the best one of them all. I'm thankful I stopped and saw they had it.

The best Jewish deli in town and my new favorite spot! They have incredibly flavorful food that is served up quick in a beautiful atmosphere. The horseradish pastrami panini was plentiful, balanced, and flavorful. The French bread is perfectly toasted for the most amazing crunch. The schnitzel sandwich was juicy and delicious, the pretzel bun a great accent. The knish was a great shareable, with a soft interior and a buttery and flakey exterior! The perfect spot for lunch! We will be back!

Excellent little gem in Mequon. Stopped in and ordered right after a group. It gave me a chance to see everything get sliced and prepared. I ordered a pressed pastrami with sauteed onions and pickles though the pickles didn't make it on the sandwich. No biggie as the sandwich was served with a delicious spear on the side. It comes with your choice of coleslaw or potato salad and I opted for coleslaw. Excellent sized portions and all of the flavors melded well with each other. I also got a potato knish - they had turnover and bun style since they're trying out the recipes. I got the bun style - no regrets. It was flaky, hot perfection! I downed it inno time. I didn't finish my sandwich and had 1/2 the next day and it was even better. I can't wait to go back. Check it out if you're in the area. Be prepared to wait a little bit for a handmade quality lunch if you stop in, but remember that it's worth it!
