I purchased a new engine for my vehicle and brought my radiator in to be flushed & cleaned, $48.95. I did not have any leaks that I was aware of. By the time that picked up the radiator I had two leaks, one at the top and one at the bottom. I never saw and coolant on the ground and I definitely did not see the white calcium that is shown on the attached photo of my leaky thermostat housing. OK, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, the radiator under peak pressure may have leaked. I am an engineer and I can see signs of leaking. I also have my certification in refrigeration. I have cleaned condensation coils. I went to pick up radiator and got a bill of $112.30. The cost of a brand-new radiator is $110. I was charge clean & flush radiator, clean & flush transmission cooler and clean & flush AC condenser. I asked to see what services he performed and paid what he charge. I picked up the radiators/condenser and load them into the back of my SUV. As I laid the condenser flat, dirt started falling out of the coil and my hand were getting dirty. Went back into the shop with the condenser and told the owner that dirt was falling out of the coil. He explained that it was flushed, tested and cleaned. I told him to give me my money back because it was not cleaned. He said to leave it, he will re-clean it. I guess that I am accusing him of not telling the truth. I pick up the condenser and it look like they rinse it off with water and the fins were bent over, blocking air flow. Not very clean. When I clean AC condensing coils, they come out looking like new aluminum. I will never go back.
