It was so wonderful to work with J&R as we went through the process of getting a classroom pet! The owner went above and beyond to make sure I had the information and supplies needed ahead of time, and answered my questions that sprang up after I had brought our lizard home.

When we realized that people were releasing their unwanted exotic pets into the wild, we knew we had to do something to help these pets and their people. We founded JRAAR, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, to give people options for their pets other than releasing them into the wild. We offer a judgment free, safe place to surrender unwanted exotic pets including fresh and saltwater fish, invertebrates, and plants as well as birds, small mammals, reptiles, amphibians and other exotic pets.
