We always stay when we are in town visiting family. The beds are adequate (better than most small town establishments like this place) and the rooms are clean. Service is hit or miss, some of the front desk people are a tad rude.

Pros: The towels and linens were good quality and the room appeared to be very clean.
Cons: We have family in the area and have been staying here for over 20 years. In the past, we have been completely happy but definitely not this last weekend. There was a wedding group in the 4-5 room surrounding our Room 107 that were completely inconsiderate of anyone near them. Kids were loud and running up & down the hall at any given time; but the adults were the worst! Friday night they woke us up at 12:30 am and were so noisy that I barely got any sleep until they quieted down around 2:30 am. On Saturday, they woke me up around 1:30 am; then at 2:30 am my husband also woke up and I called the front desk to make them aware of the ruckus. (The staff certainly should have already heard the noise as this location is just around the corner from the front desk.) They apparently spoke with them as it quieted down...for about 10 minutes; then it was as noisy as ever again and went on until 3:00 am! Extremely disappointing that they couldn't have walked the halls a few times each night to make sure things were quiet; renters shouldn't have to call the front desk to complain! Suggestion: keep the party groups all together near the front of the hall so others aren't stuck near them and if possible, have an empty room between them and others.
Also, the breakfast used to have better quality food items.

This Boarders in Medford, WI is one of the best! They are so easy to work with and the place is one of the cleanest hotels you will ever find! We use this hotel to bring in speakers for our events and we are so grateful to know our speakers will always have a great stay!!

I spend approximately 35 weeks a year on the road. This hotel is one of the cleanest hotels I've been been in. The staff is great.

The staff are all so fantastic!!! They are pleasant and always helpful. They take the time to chat a bit and are very genuine.
The rooms are always spotless. The beds and pillows are incredible. The desk area and lighting are spot on, in that I can get things done online and not disturb anyone with me.
Nearby activities: There are some very neat places to shop. They have a number of state parks and hiking trails, as well as ATV/UTV trail access.
Walkability: The hotel is located near the center of town. There are some very unique stores and restaurants in that part of town. On a nice day hotel guests would be able to walk to them and enjoy.

The staff was excellent. They were very friendly and helpful. A friendly smile from the person behind the counter is not something you see much of anymore. That alone means more than all the rest.

This has been my favorite place to stay for several years. Great pool, nice lobby with drinks, including a good selection of beers, and snacks. I usually spend the day out and it is great to have a cold beer waiting for me when I come in. Excellent restaurant next door with pie. Small exercise room. A good experience.

The room was nice and warm when we arrived. Very clean and comfy beds. Great location, very close to restaurants, fuel, grocery & retail stores, if needed. All of the staff we encountered were super nice and helpful. Thank you for a great stay!

This is the best place to stay in this rural area.
Rooms: Rooms are updated and cozy.
Nearby activities: This is a tourist town so it's near everything.
