I usually don’t leave reviews on places because that isn’t my jam, but when i went to check out I witnessed the Manager berate an employee for something that another employee did. Being on their phone.. Then proceeded to demand all phones must be in her office at all times of the employees shift and if found to have it out would get an immediate write up.. Oh and then said that they are not allowed to lean and if they did they would get written up.. What disgusting policies for a place that pays minimum wage and only gives 10hr work weeks.. Don’t yell at an employee in front of a customer and ESPECIALLY don’t yell at them for something they did not do. Manager pulled out her phone with camera footage like it was such a big deal. It’s 2024 lady, people are allowed to have phones and forcing them to have them in your office locked away during their shift is not right.. what if a family member calls them for an emergency? you are preventing that. Next time, either call the employee into your office for a private conversation or let them know quietly and respectfully. Completely unprofessional.

Today was my first time at the Dollar General in Marshfield. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised at how clean, organized, and stocked it was. All the shelves were faced and full. The bathroom was clean, stocked, and smelled good too! I frequent D.G's in surrounding towns like Athens, Stratford, Edgar, Abbotsford, etc and none of them come close to the cleanliness and organization of the Marshfield Wisconsin store. The two gals working were helpful and friendly and most importantly greeted customers when they entered the store. Keep up the great work, Marshfield!

I gave this place high praise but the last two months have been the worst, their wages aren't competitive so no one wants to work there thus leading to a lacking in employees to run the store. Their hours are shorter closing at 3pm most days, get with the times and pay a livable wage otherwise your store won't be there much longer; this town is known for its short life span of storefronts because people are too cheap to pay a wage that's acceptable. No one can live off of $10 an hour anymore, your prices are great but if you can't get customers you'll lose money regardless!

Crickets is what I got the entire checkout, no greeting, nothing, then after I was handed the receipt she walked straight outside- I wasn't even sure the transaction was over but apparently so...rude,customer service is lacking so many places now it's sad..I used to enjoy my trips there
