SCAM!!
IF I COULD DO 0 STARS I WOULD.
We booked online- nothing in the listing mentioned there is NO onsite Staff and that we would have to communicate with the manager via a Ring Webcam to get out key, or that we would have to pay $100 for a VEHICLE SECURITY DEPOSIT!!!
Not only that, they DOUBLE CHARGED US WHEN WE ASKED FOR A REFUND upon learning all this sketchy information.
I’d been a week now and I’m still out over $300 for a room I didn’t stay in.
DO NOT STAY IN THIS PLACE.
Safety: NOT SAFE!

I enjoyed my stay. The room was clean and shower hot. The best thing was that it was very close to a Bcycle kiosk which meant I could ride to my meetings downtown each day. It was a lovely ride along Winga Creek bike path.

Honestly, if I could give this negative stars I would. You pull in and you can tell the place is sketchy. We booked 3 nights for an event in Madison and ended up not staying the last night. Upon arrival the bathroom was dirty, razor and used towels crumpled up in the shower. The mini fridge had a horrific smell. Not to mention some long term stay psychopath blasting music, screaming, and pounding on the walls at all hours of the night, management refused to do anything about it. Something about a missing cat named Oliver. Yes that information was gathered though the screaming between 9:30-11:00pm. You would be better off sleeping in a tent or the back of your car.

Horrible place, overpriced room price, lack of climate control, bugs of all sorts in room, Internet never works, tested was 0.5mb/down, up was non-existent. Loud tweaker roommates pounding on walls and floors at all hours, playing their loud coked up music. Stay far away.

You will never get any service if you put the sign "Do not disturb" in front of the door. They never stay at the front desk. They lock the front desk, so they never let you out.
You cannot control the AC, also.
But the room is clean and neat, and the beds are large enough.
The breakfast is good.

Only good thing about this place is their breakfast. But what can you expect when it is the cheapest cost around.

The room was emasculate compared to it's twin motel on the other side of town.

Not appealing on the exterior. Room was ok. No independent temperature control. We had air conditioning when it was 32 degrees out. We had to repeatedly ask to get it turned off.Rooms: Hardly any toilet paper. Clean otherwise. Staff unavailable.Food & drinks: Continental breakfast was not staffed and pretty empty.

If you're checking out before 10am before the front desk opens, consider staying at a different place.I was traveling with a family member and we were going to spend one night in Madison, after which we part our ways. We were told that if we were checking out before 10am, which is when the front desk opens, to leave our key in the room and lock the door behind us. I had to leave early in the morning around 5am, and he around 6am. My family member who did the checkout process unfortunately left the key in the original keybox next to the check-in counter; still, the key should've been there. However, the property told us that they couldn't find the key and we were charged $50 for the lock replacement fee. That's understandable and I should've made sure he left the key in the room; however, it is upsetting that he did leave the key inside the keybox (and he did it with great effort bc he was not used to those types of key boxes) but the property couldn't find it. I do appreciate that the property gave me a call before the $50 charge. It gave me a chance to follow up with my family member about the key. The person I spoke with was also polite, and she was apologetic for the confusion and the missing key.Overall, it's a decent place with a decent price, but the fact that there's no one at the counter until 10am means that there's a possibility that the key might get lost between the time you checkout and the staff come to the office. I would only recommend here if you plan to checkout after 10am when the staff are here.
