US Bank is an outmoded behemoth that exists to squeeze as many fees out of its customers as possible. I have a second mortgage there, so I am kind of stuck with them, and a line of business credit I am paying down. I cannot see the business line of credit online at all without paying them $15 a month for the privilege.US Bank was one of the slowest to get information online and continues to lag in website usability, functionality and appearance.I've also been using their rewards card, as if you wanted a worldperks card previously, you were stuck with US Bank. They have dozens of different phone numbers for different problems. They don't answer customer service emails. Recently, I redeemed 45,000 points which were supposed to turn into a $450 credit on my credit card statement. Despite the website's claim that the transaction would take 8-10 days, I had to get transferred and sit on hold to find out that it actually takes 1-2 billing cycles for the credit to appear. Why? They could not tell me this, I can only assume they are trying squeeze more interest out of me. With electronic banking there is no reason the credit could not appear immediately.A few years ago I moved my business checking and personal accounts to UW Credit Union. Despite being a regional bank, their website is far superior, their customer service is far superior and they charge very low or no fees for most transactions.I cannot fathom why anyone would choose US Bank for their checking or savings accounts or their credit cards. Their claim of 5 star service is laughable. They are as bloated, corporate and impersonal as banking gets.

NEVER EVER BANK HERE! One I set up new account friendly enough. Made my deposit. Deposited a few checks and after a few days went to use my card. Declined. Turns out after hours on the phone they have a 1k limit on debit cards. You can’t buy an iPhone with a 1k limit. Went into branch next day only to find out they placed a hold on one of my check (new account understandable but time limit is the shocking part) for 30 days! No matter how much money you have in their bank they won’t lift limits. When I said if I have 200k in your bank it won’t change. They said no because we can’t trust you. I said I’m pretty sure you guys holding my life savings I’m the one that needs to trust you. And opened account with 10k wire. Then when I went in to withdraw my money from my account the manager (woman of whom I don’t know her name) said ok we will just close your account. I said I just want to withdraw the money. She then said well I already closed it. They will mail you a cashiers check. Why can’t I just get a cashiers check now? Cuz your accounts already closed. Then when I say I never wanted to close my account she starts crying and threatens to call the police on me. I was calm positive and tried to just get my money. I’ve never ever had a bank not only treat their customers this way but threaten the cops again calm and respectful patrons. Worst banking experience ever.

I have banked with US Bank for many years and I am very happy with their courteous, helpful employees. Their branches and ATMs are in convenient locations. Another thing I especially like is being able to see all my accounts with them on one page when I visit the US Bank website. The US Bank website is very easy to use.

I was panicking, I realized we forgot to get the cashiers check for a closing and the woman who opened (yes I was there pacing until it opened!) was so kind and efficient. It really made my whole day!! I wish I knew her name, but this is one of the reasons I love USBank!

I am waiting for one of the only downtown us bank to open as the have 1 teller for 3 drive up windows. 20 minute wait for a drive up. Reward banks that are stealing money from our gov while they cut their services. Move your accounts to Chase

I have been with US Bank for 20+ years, way back when they were FirstStar. Service has been getting worse, and people less important. Recently, they made a mistake. It happens. I went to the bank and got the usual: we can't do anything here, call this number and maybe they can help. 21/2 hrs on hold with music. The lady I talked to was nasty. No, I mean just nasty. I explained the issue, and she lied to me. I told her I had been to the Department of Revenue and had the documentation to back up what I was saying, and she snarled at me that I wasn't supposed to have those documents. The following day I was back at the DOR, called again with speaker on and the agent sitting there. A different nasty lady started to tell me how it was the DOR's fault. Thankfully, the agent stepped in, told her what was what, and even faxed her the documents. After hanging up, he looking at me and said " wow, you need to get a different bank". Good advice. We have talked to several banks as we decide where to move our money, realized how far down hill US Bank has fallen, and will be closing all our accounts there in January.

Horrible management. I closed my US bank accounts with them and swtiched to UW credit union after being harassed by the employees here.
