There are some great finds to be had here! With the exception of the "fresh finds" rack, it's $5 for any single item, $20 for a swap if you bring a bag full of clothing or $30 to fill a bag. Hard to complain about any of that!

I got catfished into walking two miles to this place by the website and I am inconvenienced enough to complain on the internet. Anyway, the website says everything is $5, which is not true. There was an OLD NAVY skirt for $13 on the “fresh finds” rack and I immediately went into judgmental mode. None of the clothes in the store are particularly cute or unique, they’re all just outdated clothes from mall brands. But what really had my jaw DROPPING was the “local designer” rack. It consisted of random medium ugly mall brand/fast fashion (think Calvin Klein and Zara) with random quotes painted (like “let them eat cake”) on in low quality fabric paint that I could scratch off with my finger. And they were selling for $30-$100!!! What in the avant-garde?? 10/10 if this is some kind of satirical take on modern consignment/thrift stores, but I’m pretty sure it was supposed to be serious

My daughter and I had a great time in this shop! The owner was on hand and she is friendly and fun! There was a lot to choose from and my daughter left happy with multiple cute pairs of shorts, which was exactly what she had been looking for! We were on vacation, scoring secondhand shops and will definitely stop back through in the future. Thank you!

Love the concept of this spot! The selection of clothes is pretty small, though, and I felt like it wasn't particularly interesting. They have a lot of items that are black, white, or grey; not so much in the colorful or patterned departments. Most pieces are common fast fashion standards, so if you're in the market for some wardrobe basics, they might be a good spot. They did seem to have a lot of jeans as well. Ultimately, I didn't find anything that I felt was worth $5 on its own or enough stuff that was worth swapping my bag of goodies for $20. The unique options at Madison garage sales and St Vinny's Dig and Save are more my speed, but I still think it's worth stopping in to see what they've got on hand. As a side note, many of the reviews talk about free wine and friendly shop folk, but the woman in the store just greeted me simply and went back to her phone. When I left, she had disappeared altogether.

This place is a one room experience...but its a great room! I mean there is something for everyone, or if you're me..many somethings. Racks of the funky, and the classic. Heavy, beautiful wool coats in navy and forest green...I bought a brown cashmere skirt with a cream trim along the bottom. 15 different white cotton blouses, tanks, and pretty shirts with drawstrings. Plenty of really excellent jeans. The shopgirls are kind of pretty and exotic...in a rare bird sort of way. I'm always peeking at them for fashion ideas and straining to hear what they're saying because it sounds interesting. Probably about world events or water shortage because that's the great thing about Upshift...its a completely non profit experience. I highly recommend!
