Nice, modern hotel. Beds were excellent. Noise was minimal. And don't forget the hand waving pancake machine.

Be warned - terrible customer service. This hotel double charged for a booking and refused to refund the duplicate charge, claiming that we booked a second identical room for the same guest for the same stay.
Phoned hotel - kept on hold for 25mins to be told that they cannot help.
Emailed hotel Managers - told that they cannot refund the stay.
There was only one booking confirmation and one credit authorization. Will be filing as a charge back and complaining to BBB.
Avoid this hotel and book elsewhere.

Needed a last-minute place to stay in Madison and Tru by Hilton was an excellent suggestion. Why? Online check-in, great lobby concept, perfectly sized rooms with crisp and clean decor. Great rates and walking distance to a few restaurants and theater.
Rooms: Clean and quiet
Nearby activities: Movie theater and restaurants nearby
Walkability: Easy

The room was cool, clean, and comfortable. Keep in mind that the master switch at the entry to the room must be switched to ON in order for the lights to work. The room had a mini-fridge. There were outlets and USB ports on the wall between the two beds. Mattress was very firm. Although there was overhead lighting with a light switch near one of the beds, there was no bedside table lamp which I found to be inconvenient. If I were to stay there for a longer period, I would move the desk lamp to the bedside table which would solve that particular issue. The bathroom had a walk-in shower with a glass door, an anti-slip floor, and a grab bar for safety. The hotel offered a complimentary breakfast and complimentary parking. I would stay there again.

Surprised at all the high ratings. I thought this hotel was trashy. Room smelled like urine.

Service was good and the place was well kept. Only thing they can work on is adding a few more options for the hot breakfast. Otherwise...it had everything you needed to start your day. Would recommend.

I am always a little wary when I choose the cheapest room I can find, but I have nothing but positive things to say about this hotel. The rooms are just big enough, they are not super spacious, but there is a good size bathroom, a mini fridge, mine had two queens, and a TV. The AC worked great on a hot weekend. The beds were good, I actually slept the entire night without my arms going numb. What really impressed me was that the hotel was completely booked, and I heard footsteps ONCE. I don’t think I’ve ever had such a good noise experience at a full hotel. The lobby was always hopping. people playing pool, one family had a board game going, lots of people working, families eating pizza on the patio. There were a lot of families that were either visiting U of W Madison or moving a kid in and an entire bus load of kids on a church trip, but at no point did it feel like I didn’t have my own space. It was a fun hotel that was comfortable for families. It was close to Highway 12 so it was easy to get anywhere we wanted to go in about 10-20 minutes. We will definitely book rooms here again next time we are in Madison.

Great hotel with lovely and caring staff. I felt safe here. The hotel gym has one peloton bike.
Rooms: Clean room
Nearby activities: Lots of activities in Middletown
Safety: Very safe
Walkability: Quite walkable
Food and drinks: Lots of yummy food around
Noteworthy details: Parking was close to full sometimes and somewhat difficult to park at night — I wish they had an overflow garage of some sort — I loved the pancake machine

Rooms: Well appointed rooms with outlets aplenty. Great bath products as well. I will say the rolling desk is not ideal, but gets the job done.
Noteworthy details: The front desk staff - all the front desk staff - were unbelievably amazing with their “can do” attitude. They sold me on the TRU brand with their kind and hospitality personalities, and this is coming from a life-long Marriott loyalist. TRU was truly wonderful.
