Beware of the supposed facility "owner" and their on-the-fly policy making. They chose to harass us the day we're emptying and closing our unit, simply because we had our special needs pet with us (our pet is a rescue that has seizures and grand separation anxiety, and therefore cannot be left unattended.) They tried to tell us the facility was "pet free" for the five years they'd been in control of it, despite the employee who finalized our unit when we opened it 3 years ago stating it was perfectly fine to bring our under-25lbs dog into the building, having absolutely no signage on any of the entrances of the facility stating such a policy, nor having anything in our rental agreement stating animals weren't allowed on the property. We read the rental agreement multiple times to be sure we hadn't missed it. After contacting StorQuest's main offices about the incident with the "owner" who refused to give his name, we were told they garner no such policy as a company and if the facility management had chosen to have such a policy they were required to disclose it upon start of service and maintain appropriate signage on the building in an obvious placement. All of which they did not do. This type of unnecessary harassment is ridiculous, specially considering we made sure to verify our ability to bring the dog into the facility multiple times, which we had on multiple occasions over the three years of our rental period with multiple different employees before this incident. Clearly this location will come up with "policies" that fit when convenient for them.
As for the facility itself, it is poorly maintained. They do not have armed guards on duty at night as stated and the doors can be opened beyond access hours by anyone with a door code. A number of the elevators to the second floor are purposefully out of service with no intent to repair including those near the loading docks for U-Haul or other trucks. Only one was ever in service clear across the other side of the facility. This makes moving items, especially bulky and large ones more difficult than necessary. The sensor lights don't respond well and often leave you in the dark requiring you to walk in pitch black down a long hallway to the nearest sensor to re activate them. Talk about unsafe!

Store quest is the most unethical self storage company in the United States in my opinion. They just doubled the rent for all of their customers overnight I literally have only used their service since June and I just noticed that my credit card charge Just doubled. I don’t even understand how that is legal but in any event this is a horrible company and everybody should stay away from it. Especially the ones in California. Also, there is no way that the positive reviews here are legit. What real person would go out of their way to write a positive review of a self storage company? Dear storquest ceo: fake reviews are a crime. Wake up. Time to put storquest on blast.

The elevator was broken for over a week and they increased the prices while I was already away from the summer. I signed up for a deal of roughly $50/month and then one month later they increased it to about $98/month. They sent an email apologizing for the increase in price, but that is ridiculous. Very predatory.

I am currently a client and have been before. This is one of the cleanest storages in Madison with the nicest staff. It is in a convenient location and I will only store my things here when I need storage space.

Loved renting here for years up until opening my mail today and my unit I've had for two months had a price increase suddenly of $38/mo. That's a bit much, don't you think? Will be looking elsewhere

The people were so friendly and helped me every time I needed it. Storage rooms are clean and well kept. I just recently moved out of there and they were to make sure it was a quick and easy process. I'd totally use them again in the future.
