I went to Smittys since I was staying at the Fluno and wanted a simple pub meal after a busy day. I sat at the empty bar and the bartender neglected to acknowledge me for 10 minutes and seemed to avoid coming into the area I was sitting in. I eventually got him to come back and put in my order but would disappear after every interaction. He never brought me water or silverware and I had to wave down another waitress for these. The food was good (minus the cheesecake, it was odd tasting and kind of stale), views were nice but the bartender was disappointing in his service. If I stay in the Fluno again, I'd just save my time and try to go somewhere else.

Despite the decent view, my time at Smiitty's Pub in the Fluno Center was overwhelmingly disappointing. The positive aspect of the view did little to overshadow the myriad of issues I encountered. The drinks were downright unpleasant, leaving me questioning the quality of the ingredients used. The service and management were not only shockingly bad but also incredibly rude, creating an unwelcoming atmosphere. As for the food, it was a far cry from acceptable - poorly prepared, with burnt and unappetizing options. Regrettably, I can't find any redeeming qualities in my experience, making it clear that this pub falls far short of providing a satisfying outing. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Avoid this place at all costs,

This was an unexpected delight. We had visited a somewhat dingy college spot before this and they weren't serving beer that day, so we did a quick search and found Smittys. Took us a second to realize it was inside one of the buildings. But we were able to find it and the reception desk told us how to get to the pub upstairs. The pub is small and cozy in the best of ways, with a view of the capital building. The cheese curds here were among the best we had on our entire trip, but we didn't get to try any proper entrees since we'd eaten already. If this were my hotel bar, I would've gladly hung out here all evening with a book.

I came here after a long day of business meetings. I needed something to eat and to relax. The food was good. I had the pretzels that were decent but had a great cheesy dipping sauce. The fries are fresh cut and also very good. Overall, it was a good experience and worked to both take care of needing something to eat and a place to relax.

A nice place to have a conversation since it's not busy. Decent views of the WI capital. Good service I was in Madison for business at the Fluno Center, so this restaurant on the 7th floor is very conveniently located. I like the atmosphere and will return!
