Rubin's is either your cup of tea or not. The styles are generally modern, Scandinavian inspired and very interesting. We stopped at their warehouse/larger store (there is also a design center downtown) and found a large showroom full of things I'd very much like to buy. There's a clearance area off to the side that sells floor models and returns at good discounts. We were looking for some lounge-y chairs and there were options aplenty. Helping us was very knowledgeable Barb who was never intrusive and let us look around. After making the rounds, we kept coming back to one specific chair - Barb let us know they had 2 in stock from a cancelled order (most things are made to order) in our preferred color, plus they were included in their anniversary sale. SOLD!! I work on the commercial furniture side and felt that the quality here was oberall very high and the prices, for what you get, are pretty fair. It's not IKEA prices to be fair but it's also not made in China crap that will fall apart and bottom out in a few months. You'll love it if: you appreciate mid century or modern design, want a high level of quality, want to customize items. You won't like it if: you need cupholders in your furniture.

I ordered a sofa from there waited 6 months to get it and it came in wrong so their so called manager told me she would get the order right waited another 3 months and it was still wrong so i told her to just refund me since nobody can get it right there and proceeded to point the finger at the vendor and my response to her was if they are messing up orders like that why on earth are you still using them so i got most of my money back but she would not return my delivery fee after they got it wrong I had to get a higher power to get my refund in full needless to say after 30 years of shopping there i will no longer be going back since they have moved in this new location it has been a different type of vibe buyers beware if you order a big item from this store !

My wife and I recently purchased some furniture from Rubins. It was delivered two days ago. I believe if you admire someone, you should admire them to their face, which is why I'm writing now. The delivery people from White Glove delivery were amazing. I think their names were Lance and Jim. Great guys, great service. They really went above and beyond to help to get things in place. Showed up when they said they were going to show up, and did what they said they were going to do. And Dawn also went above and beyond. She had a great creative sense for designing the pieces for us. Her suggestions were spot on, and her extra service, (coming to our house, following up etc) were amazing . Rare these days. So, I just wanted to tell you how happy we are with Rubins. Thank you Dawn!! Thank you Lance and Jim at White Glove Delivery, and thank you Rubins.

I live in Milwaukee. So before heading over to Madison to check out Rubin's selection of Canal Dover bedroom furniture, I tried to contact the store to inquire about in-stock products and the availability of products that could be ordered. And...nothing.No response to my emails; A voicemail was ignored. Hard to justify wasting a trip when the store clearly isn't interested in the business.

Rubins can be a little pricier than wayfair but but 1. It is worth it. They only sell quality stuff; 2. The staff is knowledgeable, pleasant and don't push you at all and 3. There is a sales room upstairs. I bought on sale a table and five chairs and am very. happy with my purchase!

In the last year and a half we have worked with Rubins to purchase a number of pieces of furniture. Before we moved here we used to pop into their downtown store when visiting since they have a great selection of furniture and decor - it is a cool space. So once we relocated to Madison we headed to their stores to furnish our new place.In late 2019 we worked with Beth in their west side store and purchased two love seats. Our experience was very positive - great looking sofas, great customer service, and decent prices.This spring we visited both stores looking for a dining room rug but in the end we bought a whole dining room set and no rug! We ended up working with Dawn downtown since they had the dining room table, chairs, stools and bench, etc. that we really were interested in and Dawn did a nice job helping us sort out what we wanted. She really is customer focused.Rubins does sell alot of high end furniture (this isn't Ashley Furniture) so we were pleasantly surprised that after doing research on what we were going to buy they were cheaper than Wayfair! I never would have guessed...

We had a really great experience with rubin's. They offer unique pieces you could never find at some other large furniture stores in the area and there are plenty of customization options.Best of all, they offer free in-home design consultations to help curate pieces for your home.

I am writing a recommendation for Rubin's Furniture in downtown Madison, WI. I worked with Deb Kreger, Designer and found her assistance invaluable. I had a general idea of what I wanted, but was afraid of making a mistake. Deb was able to work with the furniture I already had and loved, and incorporate new pieces to harmonize with the old. She made sure that everything was perfect. I highly recommend making an appointment with Deb Kreger at Rubin's Furniture Store in Downtown Madison, WI.Stacy
