A nightmare! There was blood on the sheets. There were tons of flies flying around in the room. The phone don't work. The only light that worked was the bathroom light so no light in the living area/bedroom. Reeks of weed and smoke.

Stayed at this Gem of a place two times and can say with certainty it will not happen again. Not only did I get harassed by other guests every time I went out of my room but I also felt a little creeped out by a certain person who worked at the place. Was asked if I wanted a job or any extra benefits I could come talk to this worker after midnight. Did not feel comfortable going back to this place after that. Was bad enough being approached in parking lot by several different males one of which was waiting by my car two nights in a row and refusing to hear me say I was not interested to please stop making inappropriate remarks towards me. Unfortunately he did not stop I literally had to leave after being there 4 days. If we had not paid for 4 days in advance I would have left even sooner. I decided well over a year later to give them one more try and it was the same experience all over again just different people.Walkability: In walking distance to East town Mall and bus stop very close.Noteworthy details: Over priced rooms and nothing good you are paying for no pool or even complimentary breakfast worth paying a lil extra for at all.

So disgusting. I tried two different rooms before asking for a refund and finding a different hotel for the night. I've stayed at many Red Roofs across the country, and the Madison WI locations was by far the worst I've ever seen. I thought they needed to stay up with Franchise req. But apparently not. Broken doors, reaked of cig smoke, broken floor tile, dirty stained bedding, paint falling off walls, spiderwebs everywhere, the list goes on. Buyers beware, do NOT stay here. This location should be shut down by the Franchise. Very disgusting. Also, bad neighborhood, and bad rep for unlawful things happening there. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Rooms are very decent for the price. Staff is pretty friendly. I think this place gets a bad name for itself but overall it's pretty quiet. People are just kinda prejudice. Got stuck in a snow bank thank you very much to the security guard for sticking around to help out!

You get what you pay for. These arent necessarily high end, on the hotel food chain. They're budget priced. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The staff is always professional, and really don't mess with you if you don't give them a reason. The neighborhood is fine, looks a little more rugged than it is. I'm still staying here and it's really pretty quiet. I think management has been making some changes, possibly getting rid of problem guests.. etc. There are security cameras, but I feel safe here. Especially with the door deadbolted, which is advisable at every hotel. I have no complaints, and the office has the best coffee ?☕Safety: Keep your eyes open, and your doors locked... You'll survive ?Walkability: Decent location. There are gas stations, and restaurants within walking distance.Food & drinks: There's a vending/soda machine near the office. Also there are gas stations and restaurants nearby. Also... Door dash folks!

Why is this hotel still open? I stayed there an I was not happy, my room was infested with roaches, not bugs, ROACHES. There were roaches under the sheets with me! When I approached the owner about the issue, he did not believe me I had to go back into the room and video record the fact that there were roaches in the room. It was then, that he offer me a refund for the room which was only 20% of my refund, meaning I did not get my full refund. I recommend that you go to another place.

When you read the reviews that say its disgusting, believe them. The walls and bed sheets were stained with who knows what. I knew this was a cheap hotel but this was beyond horrific. We were in and out in 20 min.Rooms: There is so many stains of probably body fluid and dna if you wre muckducked in here they wouldn't ever find your killer.Safety: Definitely felt like I was in a scene where CSI comes to investigate.

the worst place I've stayed in in my life. When I walked my dog there where people on drugs and a needle outside. the first night we got there the police were there twice. When I spoke with manager he told me there were 109 rooms and 50 were permanentresidents! Im not a complainer but this place is disgusting and horrible don't waste your money. we requested our refund and went somewhere else. I was told there was a "security guard" after 4 and he mostly just hung out with the residents. The place smells like weed it would come through our vents in the bathroom. If you book more than one night you don't get housekeeping so you have to chase them down to get fresh towels. The front desk lady who sat outside smoking most of the time would also just look at you not speak and make you feel weird. Eddy the manager there doesn't run this place very well at all! good luck if you stay there!

Travel alot-- have stayed in a few Red Roofs -- this is the poorest excuse for a Red Roof we have ever stayed in--1st room we were given smell so bad of pet urine we requested another room -- reception was very nice and apologetic-/ 2nd room odor was better however, room was very muchin need of a paint job, ( chilled paint all over) new mattress and a fly swatter!Was a bit concerning when upon arriving at 2nd room there was a business card from Parole /Probation shoved in the door!We will never return here!!Guess this is a true example of you get what you pay for!!

This establishment is filthy, crime ridden and the staff are extremely rude. Stay away to this place. Red roof corporate needs to get involved and Madison police ate very aware of all of the shady activities going on there.

Room smelled like cigarette smoke, there were multiple holes punched into the bathroom door, the curtain was torn, and mystery splatter on a wall. Overall a very uncomfortable stay.
