I went the store 2 days in a row with the exact same things and was told 2 very different very crazy answers. On top of that the people who helped me were extremely rude

Don’t listen to most of these reviews. They are a business. They will only buy things they can sell to gen z aged kids. I’ve had them buy things, & I’ve had them reject things. It depends on style, trends, quality, brand, current inventory, etc. They sell things everyday. They know what will sell & what won’t. They are young themselves so they know what they would buy or not. It’s subjective. If they didn’t buy, don’t be pressed. Move on.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!They don’t even look through ALL of your clothes. I know this because after reading the reviews and seeing that they have only 3.3 stars, I put them to the test! I specifically folded items a certain way. These items were not even touched!!! Bad business! I will not try to sell here ever again and I definitely will not be shopping here for my teenagers either!! Two thumbs down!

Super frustrating for men's fashion. Regret not just donating to Saint Vincent de Paul and writing off the taxes. Spent an hour in traffic on the way back to the east side, and drove back an hour with $9. They said some stuff about the eligiblity criteria that contradicts the only item they bought out of the 2 dozen+. It was the oldest of the coats. This was my first time and last time.I regret letting my greed lower my standards of time managment, my advice is you learn from my anecdote. Don't waste your time like i did if you're selling men's fashion clothing.

Went to turn in clothes and was told it was going to be a 35-45 min wait. It ended up being 2 hours. People after me got their clothes and money before me. Disappointed.

Scam. I took clothes there to sell and they didn’t even take everything that was in good condition!!! Just took the most expensive pieces and gave me a cheap price don’t accept their offers and don’t take your clothes there to get money!! Better of selling them yourself. As a result, I got ripped off!

They offered me $8 for a pair of air forces in good condition and never gave me back two items but didn’t pay me for them. if you take stuff in make sure you take a picture or write down what you’re bringing and double check afterwards so you don’t let anything slip through.

I walked in the unlocked door at 10:58 and a woman there told me they were not open for another two minutes. I said “I’m sorry the door was unlocked” and began walking out. The woman then very rudely said “the sign is off.” I said that was really rude and we would just be leaving. In the less than 30 seconds it took me to get to my car I saw her go and turn on the sign.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I came in with a bunch of dresses in like new condition and 2 of them were brand new with the tags still on. Waited an hour just to be told they can only offer me $5 for both of the new dresses with tags still on. I was shopping in the store while I waited and found a couple items, one of them being on clearance. When I got home I noticed I was never given the sale price on the clearance item. Went back a few days later to try and get refunded the money they didn't deduct off and was told a manager had to be there and they are only working in the mornings. I said forget it... it was a total waste of my time and gas...not to mention I live over 30 minutes away. I will not be back. This place is a joke. You'd be better off trying to sell your clothes on your own.

I love the employees and managers! They are always available when I need help or need a fitting room. I always leave the shop with something in my hands. My favorite store to shop and will probably be the only store I but my clothes now until I’m an adult. Love the prices for the name brands. Got my air force 1 there and heels for my pageant at Plato’s. Don’t sleep on them. But if you do that’s ok, more for me. Save money live better. I’ll never buy full price for name brands anymore. If I know I can get it cheaper at Plato’s, best believe me you’ll catch me there once or two a month to do my shopping spree.

I've been to three Plato's Closet locations (Madison East, West, and Brookfield) and this location is my favorite. Both times I've sold there, I've left with over $100 each time. My tip is to call beforehand to ask how they would like you to bring in your clothes. Each location varies a little. This way, when you arrive, all you need to do is check in and wait. Also, I recommend calling to see what their wait time. This one is always very quick. Today, I was in and out in 40 minutes.
